“What work of art, music, science, mathematics, or literature has surprised, unsettled, or challenged you, and in what way?”

i’ve written a really nice essay…on a movie. and i just realized that “movie” wasn’t one of the options…would it count as “art,” since it’s “motion pictures”? should i alter the essay so that it focusses on the book version (which is really different from the movie)?

“Art is a manifestation of emotion, and emotion speaks a language that all may understand.”

Haha. Sorry.

Um, just put in a paragraph explaining subtly how a movie is a work of art?

People have written about movies.

My rule:
Don’t over think the topic. Over think the content.

Does that make sense? You could write about anything…as long as your essay is interesting, thoughtful, and personal.
