My CP student is an ITP major 2nd year (junior status). They took 6 years math and ended up having 8 years English (took both regular grade English classes and Journalism all 4 years). 4 years FL as well. As for which math class, they took all the way thru Calc in high school and did Stats at the CC. By doing stats at CC they do not have to take it at CP. They tested out of precalc at CP and just had to Bus Calc (which by the way is not offered in the Fall quarter, only Winter and Spring). IF you take precalc in high school you will have to take precalc at CP again before taking calc but if you take calc in high school you can test out of precalc to just go straight to bus calc at CP. Many students who are not strong math students need to repeat precalc at CP and some even need to repeat Calc as it is not easy either.
