Evaluation of Indian school marks for MIT

That makes sense. And how many students do you think applied to Princeton last year? Is the number <1000?

Princeton had around 600 applicants last year. They admitted only about 9.

^…Pegging the acceptance rate for Indians at 0.015%. Holy Macaroni. Who says IITs are the toughest institutions to get admission at (with an acceptance rate of 2.2%)?

itsmylife99- go here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/india/1006375-college-stats-our-country-class-2014-a.html

Please calculate the acceptance rate for internationals in IIT before making that comment.

@everyone - GUYS GUYS GUYS!!! Attention please. I know this guy from Patna, Bihar. His own brother is MIT’11. He himself will apply to MIT this year. Just check his application. It will BLAST your ss if you are thinking for MIT’15 (DISCLAIMER: just to give you all an idea what sort of competition is there, and not to discourage nor show you down. BTW apologisation for vulgar but couldn’t resist the temptation :slight_smile: [ss] )…

SHASHI THAROOR “PERSONALLY” sends him thanks request…
This is just a trailer… Movie to abhi baaaki hai mere dost…
Don’t ask how I know him… I just know him…

Kya baat, kya baat, kya baat… wowowowowowowowowo

My *ss is still paining… aww…

Dude, not everyone applying from India has such stats. It’s the rarest of the rare. I wonder how many high schoolers in our country get to represent India at International Conferences and rub shoulders with Shashi Tharoor.

@esconie If you haven’t left this forum then I had a question. Is it necessary to do Irodov for NSEP (I’m asking only for NSEP and NOT for InPhO/IPhO)? Are the problems in NSEP of Irodov’s level?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm i agree with rohan (who is determinedly set for MIT & Caltech)…

This guy is impressive.

I think Shashi Tharoor must feel fortunate to have met Sharad and not the other way around.

If I happen to rub my shoulder with Shashi Tharoor, I will go straight Holy River Ganga and clean my shoulders to get rid of the filth. This guy grew up in a bubble, stayed in the bubble and … I would rather rub my shoulders with Lallooo.

I can get to meet Shashi Tharoor anytime I want.

Anyway,

Close relatives tell me that Laloo Prasad really knows how to speak good English.

Imagine Lalloo going to Harvard and IIM’s and talk about management! He is an overachiever. (Not saying that he is the model we should be after.)

@tippu - Isn’t the word “impressive” an understatement for Sharad Vivek Sagar…

@anirudh - how can u meet Mr. Tharoor anytime…Are u from a political background??

Shashi Tharoor became quite infamous after the IPL controversy. Really didn’t expect that from him. So I gotta agree with Tippu. And yes, impressive is an understatement. That guy is sure for MIT and all the Ivies imo.

@rohan - u from wich state???

West Bengal man. It sucks here. Schools don’t provide you with much EC opportunities.

Sorry, I am incapable of making graphic colorful statements like some of you.
