Evaluation of Indian school marks for MIT

@everyone - I am with esconie. Is anyone with me?? lol :)

ohh esconie, youre so humble! haha
and was it someone who lived in india? or was it an adcom from mit that travelled all the way to india for the interviews?

hah cmon, elaborate! what kinda things did you guys discuss

MIT interviewers live in interview areas.

They’re MIT alumni

Lol, bubbles why don’t you check the mit forum before askin’ :D? There’s an MIT interviewer even in Solomon Islands!

I hereby declare myself as an esconie fan. I feel almost sorry for her anonymity hehe.

And it is great to have you here Harisheena. Welcome!

Thank You Mr. debarghya9

Chuck the welcome.The more important thing is the gender of Harisheena.
PS-Note the “Mr.” before Debarghya9.

Greetings, fellow Indians. I have been lurking on this board and reading your eccentric conversations for quite a while. Today I make my first post.

drumroll

I’ll get straight to the point. Since we’re all worshiping esconie here, I’ll place a few questions to the altar of our mighty goddess:

Do NSEP results arrive in time for us to mention them in the applications?

Whats the MIT LMC (Live Music Connection) like? I read about it, and it was so inspiring/awesome that I fought with my School Principal, for almost 2 months, for permission to start a similar club in my school.

Did you inform universities (MIT, specifically) of your ownage at the IPhO? If so, how? Did you inform them about INPhO?

Are you in 8.01? Does Walter Lewin still take that class?? ISN’T HE AWESOME???

How many Indians are there at MIT? I mean real Indians, born over here, not those ABCDs or whatever.

Whats the courseload like, for a person like you? I mean, you’ve aced JEE, so I bet you’re comfortable with extremely intensive stuff.

Am I bothering you a lot?

Are you non-vegetarian? How’s the food like? Any good Indian restaurants about? I just remember Punjabi Dhaba, which was near Rindge and Latin High School or somewhere. And they blatantly COLOURED their butter chicken. And I do not like colour in my butter chicken.

Did you see any hacks yet?

How do you IROP? IROP is basically UROP for internationals, right? Do you need to have previous research experience? I’m from a rather small town (compared to Delhi, Mumbai) so I didn’t exactly get a lot of research opportunities.

@perfe… - I am a Male.
where r u from Ms pixie?

Oh damn.
Delhi.

Esconie is probably going to run away from this forum never to come back.
hmmmm,maybe I should get my list of questions before that happens
Lol,just kidding

@perfect - why damn? you seem to be upset to know that I am male… why so?

oooof,Im not really upset dude.There’s this joke here about me thinking every newbee’s a girl,dont worry I have no vendetta against guys.

It’s mock disappointment.

@perfe… - ohhhhhh… i thought you were lesb…
@blackad… - what do you mean by “small cities doesn’t have much research opp. as compared to big cities.” what do you think that in big cities research is omnipresent…

Okay that point is invalid. But hey, atleast you have worthy extracurricular activities in those cities. Summer camps, internships, actually-meaningful interschool activites/competitions. My town has very little of those.

@black - which town are u from?

Funny joke.I don’t think.
oh and could you stop writing ‘perfe…’?
pixie would be just fine and its less letters if it’s a waste of time to write the whole id.

@pixie - R u from DAIS? (just a random guess)

They have lesbians in DAIS?
