I just bombed an AP calc test, and I realized that all your grades kinda count twice because only the mid-year transcript is gonna be sent out. So you don’t really have much of a chance to redeem yourself as opposed to if you had a full year.

It’s a lot more pressure to do well.
know what I mean?

I had the EXACT same thought today after I got a ‘C’ on the first AP Calc AB test.

At first I was like: “But it’s senior year, so grades don’t matter as much, right?..”

Then, I realized that a bad midyear report would undo the past three years unless I got into my SCEA school. Not worth the risk, and I just have to assume I’m going to get rejected SCEA even though I want to believe that I’ll get in.

Um…if you fall off in your schoolwork at any point in your senior year, you could get rejected/rescinded.

It’s not a overstatement to say that college is just more of the same. Be excited about it, but don’t get the impression that the workload or the dynamic will drastically change in terms of academics. You won’t be free of work for any point in your life from this point on, so it’s best to keep on chugging in the now.

As for me, I’m in the running for valedictorian, so hell no am I going to slack off…not just yet…
