They already offer graduate degrees in marine science, but in fall 25 they will offer undergraduate bachelor of science degrees as well. They will be the first VA public university to have a BS in marine science.

Awesome! W&M is one of my top “got away” colleges for S24 (meaning he chose differently, but I loved W&M).
And even though it is very highly rated in some circles, I think it still sometimes has an unclear branding to some people. And one of the things I think people sometimes do not realize is how close to the ocean/beaches it is! So while obviously by far this news is most important academically, I do also like how it helps brand W&M as an ocean school.
