my resume does not include ANY Middle school awards …i heard Middle school doesn’t count, right?? if not, 20 more awards to add and some ECs.

im homeschooled, my dad think im a genius but im NOT.
My Parents Expect Me to go to Phillips exeter or Andover -> Harvard College -> Harvard Law School.
seriously, i dont wanna live anymore and theres no reason to live.
When the so called “happiness” does happen in my life, it always comes at a cost.I have found that the cost or price of happiness far outweighs the benefits received.

Thanks.

oh and please tell me what is lack of my application…ex: EC, leaderships…etc.
Im a very serious person in life

Again, why are you not applying for college straight? I just don’t understand. Is getting in Harvard THAT important?

honestly you can go straight to harvard with this you dont need to apply to andover/exeter.

you should put this in the harvard chance thread

■■■■■ ■■■■■ ■■■■■

nah if you look at the bottom where she talks about how unhappy she is
i dont think shes is a ■■■■■ and a ■■■■■ would have made more athletic achievements

Jyun212:

No, i don’t wanna waste my time for ■■■■■

you can’t get 100% on the ssat, plus, if you have only been in high school for three years, and you have a list of awards longer than that of some people who got accepted to ive league schools, you must do like 20 competitions a year and have 3 hours of sleep each night and STILL be able to function the next day. ■■■■■?

I’m sorry that you don’t want to live anymore, I mean honestly I wouldn’t if I were you. maybe you should try to have a social life, that might lighten things up a bit.
Andover and Harvard doesn’t want kids who have nothing but a long list of awards.

Umm to the person who wants us to chance him/her. You do realize that it says HONORS and AWARDS right? So participating in it doesn’t count… you have to at least get an honorable mention for them in order to put them down.

Um…… im having a hard time believing this resume . Like someone said you would have to be working all night and all day to achieve this resume
plus, u can’t get a 100% on the ssats either. And I have to wonder the last part of your post. Not wanting to live is a very serious thing to say and has nothing to do with chances. Also, people in on cc can’t do anything about you not wanting to live so they don’t need to know about it’. I know this sounds mean and harsh but that is what I think.

omg i was so bored reading this. where is your personality? this is like robotic academics wise, and yea i just really dont know what to say. 100% on ssats isnt possible.

This is SO fake! TROLLLL

I don’t think this list is fake. You’ve been focused on achieving academically, probably because of your parents’ pushing more than following your own interests/passions.

And, yes, those things that you’ve listed as awards aren’t awards unless you won something–participation in an essay contest doesn’t count. You might lump them all together and talk in an essay about how you enjoy entering competitions and what you’ve learned from that (assuming you do enjoy it). Your academics and test scores are top notch. Your ec’s are okay but nothing really jumps out and defines you as unique.

Is there anything that you really love to do? If not, that’s what you need to work on…and that’s what will make you happy AND get you into prep school/college.

I’m feeling very sad for you right now. It might be that getting away from home to a place where you could be more free to pursue your own interests would be a good thing. It might not be Andover or Exeter though–in my opinion, a smaller school that could provide you with more of a nurturing environment might be better. Lots of kids get into Ivy leagues from schools other than A/E–look around at websites and find a school that you think you’d really love–then look at the college matriculation stats so that you can present it to your parents in a way that they will listen.

Your life will get better–look at this as a way to move on to something new.

There are many brooke16, brooke17 kind of names associated with ■■■■■■. Just a caution.

Just a thought…Exeter’s application doesn’t allow that many awards, so you might want to condense them to fit. Also quality over quantity.

The 5rd International Brain HSP Olympiad – KOREA

did you mean 5th?

The first three are competitions that are entered by TEAMS. Since the OP is homeschooled, I highly doubt that she will be able to enter those.

The last, I believe, is one in which you have to be nominated. I quote from the LISYF website:

This is clearly not possible given the OP’s situation.

However, I may be wrong but I doubt so.
