Extra-Curriculars

I am just a freshmen, but I am worried about my extra-curricular activities. I have always wanted to apply to a UC school, my top ones being Stanford & Berkeley. So now that I have established that, how do I look?

In later years I may become head of some of these groups…

Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon, First Chair Oboe
Speech & Debate
Mock Trial
Math Team
Brain Bowl (i know its nerdy yea yea)
Varsity Tennis

For community service, if this is counted as extra-curricular, I am involved in United Way. Currently, I am the head reperesenative for my school for the Day of Caring. My job is to gather people and supplies for the Day of Caring on September 26th.

Oh yeah, after that, I am going to be working with United Way on organizing Protein Drives and start fundraising for United Way and the school.

Just find something you like. No one could care less about what ECs you’re in. What’s important is what you do in and with it.

You need to become distinguished in whatever EC you do, and make an impact in whatever EC you do.
