extracurricular activities?

Hi everyone,
my SAT scores, my grades and all, they are all good.
the only problem is that I’m from Italy and here the whole system is totally different
and we just don’t have extracurricular activities. So, should I tell my hypothetical university that my system is different? Can this difference affect my chances?
What kind of extracurricular activites should I try to do?

well you can explain that in your additional info or you may tell your counselor to specify that on school report.
BTW, don’t you have anything else to write except school related extracurricular activities? You can write about sports you have played and participated, music instruments you have played,jobs you did …etc

Just provide them with whatever extracurricular you do or have done.
They never ask for proof, so you can claim whatever you have done so far.

Am from India, I have been the captain of the state level cricket team, but you know what I can’t prove it, coz I dont have any certificates or any sort of documentations abt my status. In India, when we win matches we are given food items like biscuits,sandwiches,etc as prizes…***

Anyways…Put in whatever EA you have done, but don’t exaggerate & dont lie, only mention what you have done so far.
Good Luck !

@Ripan: where are you applying?

Universities in NY,CA & MN

Where are you applying btw ?

Ivy, Northwestern, J. Hopkins, Georgetown, UB, UChicago and the “UCs”. Besides I’m considering Canada.
Bye
