Do you have the Eye of The Tiger? Are you Hungry like The Wolf? If you answered yes to either of these, you, like me enjoy listening to the wonderful music that the nineteen eightys brought us. This music is from the likes of Duran Duran, Survivor, Journey, etc. Please discuss your favorite music here (especially 80’s music).

come on people, I know I am not the only person that likes the music here

I like everything. I’m eclectic in musical choice but do tend to lean towards indie rock.

Anyone hear of Coheed and Cambria?

Only heard of.

Their lead singer sounds like a chic but its a really great band.
Tell me what you think of this:

Now that is what I am talking about. The lead singer has great hair too. ![]()
What is with that freaky deaky stuff in the begining, I like it.

The band releases a graphic novel along with each album. The album basically is connected to the story. Check it out on wikipedia.

This is actually pretty good. I never payed much attention to the band because the friend I know who listens to it as a completely different taste in music than I do.

I just started listening to them. I heard The writing writer on youtube with a anime. I was shocked at the singers voice but it grows on you.

yeah! i love cheesy stuff from the 80s 8-)

anyone here a fan of New Order? they’re one of my favorite bands, but no one seems to know them.

Risin’ up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I’m back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive

So many times, it happens too fast
You change your passion for glory
Don’t lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

Chorus:
It’s the eye of the tiger, it’s the cream of the fight
Risin’ up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he’s watchin’ us all in the eye of the tiger

Face to face, out in the heat
Hangin’ tough, stayin’ hungry
They stack the odds 'til we take to the street
For we kill with the skill to survive

chorus

Risin’ up, straight to the top
Have the guts, got the glory
Went the distance, now I’m not gonna stop
Just a man and his will to survive

chorus

The eye of the tiger (repeats out)…

This is not cheesy people, this is a great song. Go Journey!!

Don’t stop believing.

seriously. journey is the shizzle. i like alot of 80’s

(Start at 2:37)

"My body’s ready, my heart’s on fire
I’m gonna’ push it over the wire
Perfect timing, tight as a drum
Your final battle’s…already won

I’m taking hold, of every moment
given strength by the breath of life,
I’m going to stake my claim,
I fight to surviiiiiiiiveeeee!!!

Ku-mi-te! Ku-mi-te! Ku-mi-te!

I’ve worked hard, every night and day
so I’m prepared to make my way
mind and body are a perfect team
now’s my time to lift my dream

I’m taking hold, of every moment
given strength by the breath of life,
I’m going to stake my claim,
I fight to surviiiiiiiiveeeee!!!
