I have received a grad assistantship and need to qualify for federal work study. Now that im paying for school on my own, i will need to fill out fafsa for the first time.
however it didn’t ask about my bank /savings and checking accoutn which a lot fo my internship money went into. i am worried i have too much in savings and CDs to qualify for FWS but the form didnt even ask about that.
If you weren’t asked, it means that your low income allowed you to skip asset questions. The SAI formula doesn’t always take assets into consideration for people with very low income, and the FAFSA will allow you to skip questions if the answers aren’t necessary for your specific situation.
