FALL 2014 Guaranteed/ Conditional Transfers

@goodluck13 you should definitely email them and ask. My friend whom also has a TO had not sent in his college transcript from this year yet, only sent his transcript from his high school university credits, and they checked off that they had his college transcript. He had to email them and clarify.

This may not be your case since you previously said you had sent your actual college transcript a while ago, but checking doesn’t hurt!

Has anyone heard of a person who meets the class requirements, makes A’s and b’s and exceedes the required 3.0 GPA and still not being admitted? I’m just nervous and can’t believe this is all it takes.

@bulldogs3

No, that has never been the case. That is why it is called a guaranteed transfer/transfer offer. As long as you met all the class requirements and required GPA, you are guaranteed acceptance. So get excited :)

Just to make sure, they will ask to see final transcripts as well so if you were to get accepted mid-April, the acceptance is tentative and final grades/GPA will ultimately decide whether or not we will really be attending, right?

I believe they will only look at your semester and midterm grades to make a decision but you should always look to maintain your grades just incase.

I have a question for all my AEM transfer option people. Is statistics a required course for transfer? Originally when i scheduled my classes I don’t believe it was but I saw something on the transfer website that made me worried.

guys the wait is killing me. I don’t even have all my materials checked off yet but I just want to know. Out of the past twelve months this one is by far the worst

@Goodluck13 Is there a specific email to contact Cornell Admission to see if they received all materials as I have the same problem as you as I’m still missing my registrar report being checked off??? Thank you

I emailed the CALS admission ( cals_admissions@cornell.edu ) but they said they have a lot of transfer applicants at the moment and they will send missing document requests later

Does anyone know when GT applicants were informed last year or typically?

@spbeccah ,

It depends on the school within Cornell, but it is rolling admissions, so the sooner you get all of your documents in the sooner they look at your application. Last year the admissions notifications started the last week of March.

@gobigred44, by email (the office will probably notify you to log onto the applicant page to check the decision like last year)

When will we hear about financial aid?

Does anybody know as transfer students do we send our AP scores now or do we wait until we are admitted??

Thanks

So did anyone else get this today? i checked my application status and the message was posted as well as a note that my application materials have been sent to the admission committe for review.

As Cornell admissions selection committees approach the end of regular decision application review, we want to share information with you regarding Cornell’s online admission decision notification process.

Regular decision applicants will be able to view their admission decisions online on Thursday, March 27, beginning at 5 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time). On the decision release date, we will contact regular decision applicants by email with instructions for viewing their decisions online. Please note that your decision will not be posted on your Cornell online application status account, so please follow the instructions that will be outlined in our email to you.

You do not need to do anything further at this time. We will post a new message on our website once we have sent the email instructions for viewing your decision online. Please note that transfer admission decisions are communicated on a rolling basis beginning in mid-April.

@bulldogs3 I got the same messages. My portal still doesn’t have the green check next to my midterm report, but it says"Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review." Hopefully that means they have everything then! I’m hoping that we get decisions earlier than mid-April!

I have the long message but I did not get the note that says my materials have been received/ forwarded to the admissions staff.
