You register at 8:30 or 10 on the first day I forget and then you take a class or two on like personal finance and other practical things then you have lunch and you have these things called wing meetings that tell you the rules of campus and dorms and more social events and dinner and another wing meeting and then the following day is more class stuff and if you need to take a placement test you do that and then you meet an advisor and register for classes.@lovechickfila

@lovechickfila From what I’ve heard from friends last semester, there’s events that go late into the night, as well. Some organizations even throw parties.

When you write an appeal what do you normally say?

Depends on what your reason is I guess. Do you think you got rejected because they didn’t receive something on time/miscalculated your gpa? Or you just disagree with their decision?

Any CNS news? Still waiting

I’m still waiting on CNS (biology) as well ;(.

I have been waiting for COE for a while now. I don’t think I am even going to attend UT anymore because i only have 50 or so more credits before I can graduate and therefore I can graduate a year earlier at Baylor. It was awesome knowing y’all and best of luck to each of you.

I can’t believe its them this long to make a decision, come on we got to sign a lease here

I just got off the phone with admissions and they said I probably won’t hear back for another month. I changed my second major to COLA-undecided last Monday. So they said my application has to start completely over. I’m really considering just going to another school. I have been accepted to TCU, A&M, Baylor and Tech. I don’t have time to wait until June to hear back. I have to look for a job and find an apartment. Plus class selection will probably be very limited by June.

Guys,

The only reason why I think admissions is taking so long with their decisions, especially with applicants that already have 30+ hours is that, they are waiting for transcripts for the applicants who don’t have 30 hours already… with this being said, we should be hearing back anytime soon; end of the next week by the latest.

A lot of decisions roll out towards the end of May! And then 30+ until mid June

So are they basically making all CNS majors wait until the end of may hopefully letting them in? Or are we just waiting around for another month for a rejection?

I would hope that they would not make us wait 3+ months just to be rejected.

I doubt they would reject you guys. I think everyone who’s been rejected from CNS has already been rejected. I got rejected twice (I requested a major change after admission as well).

I would say ya’ll chances are good as long as you have the calculus credit.

Thank you
@lovechickfila but I don’t have calc
I won’t until summer 1 semester.

Really? Well is it on your transcript that you’ll be taking it in the summer? That might be okay if they know you’re in progress of taking it. @Jwood12

No. I just signed up for it last week. @lovechickfila

Well good luck! I hope they wouldn’t reject you after all this time
What is your second choice? @Jwood12

@lovechickfila COLA-undecided. I changed it last week on Monday from CNS-biochemistry.

Good choice! That’s exactly what I did and I got accepted into COLA.
As long as you get in you can always transfer to CNS later.
