If your major is denied ^

Also @Mnaseem
Mccombs is full that’s why you were not accepted the spaces are nearly in the single digits. Just hope that perhaps your major request is accepted or internal transfer

Has anyone heard back from COE yet?

Just got accepted into College of Liberal Arts Undecided! 3.67 GPA helllllll yaaaaaaaa boiiiiii

Is anyone else still waiting on COLA that is in the 3.4-3.5 range?
I applied in January and had less than 30 hrs. I am international affairs and undeclared…getting really anxious.

@123lcc Still waiting on COE here
@Mnaseem Internal transfer is probably going to be your best bet.

Yeah I am still going to make an appeal just in case, but I probably would most likely have to internal transfer. Thanks for the info guys. Also how did you guys send in an appeal? I called the UT Admission office right now and they told me to write my appeal down and fax it to the appeal committee.

Is anyone out there waiting to hear from Communications? I have been in review for three weeks. I said in an earlier post I would stop checking…but I checked and nothing has changed. I am a wreck.

@Mnaseem from the UT FAQ page

“Historically, few decisions about whether someone is admitted to the university or admitted to a major they requested are changed through appeals. Appeals about such admission decisions must be accompanied by additional or new information about an applicant’s qualiffications that were not available when the student submitted his or her original application.”

@lizell123 comm takes a long time! No news is good news, you’re still likely to be accepted!
@DanielKim3 congrats! I’m so glad I could help with your appeal. Welcome to UT!

Congrats to everyone else! Welcome to the 40 Acres! \m/

@lizell123 Hahahah, I’m in the same boat. No worries. I literally check every hour.

@Mnaseem
I went here
https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/adm/appeal/

The rest is self explanatory

@Mnaseem. I got into McCombs with:
4.0 GPA
42 transferable credits
2 good or great essays
Military experience and professional experience
3 LOR
3 hrs/wk volunteering since last October

@135pipe how do you know for sure that McCombs is full? Did someone from the admissions office tell you or is it just a guess? I applied to McCombs too and still haven’t gotten a reply. I’m officially scared now.

@Mnaseem did you have all of the required courses needed to be admitted into mccombs finished?

@collegestudent26
Both but the officer I spoke to was probably lying I think.

Hey guys! I applied to CNS. I was the ones who had less than 30 hours completed so I sent in my completed transcript on like may 9th. The due date for trancripts for those under 30 hours was june 1st or sumthin. WHEN DO YOU THINK I WILL HEAR BACK??? would u say no news is good news? My backup is COLA undeclared. I also have a 3.65 gpa.

@135pipe @collegestudent26 Yup! there’s a possibility they’r lying! One of the nursing adviser told me they only accepted 5 transfer students for the fall 2014…

@capthtz If you don’t mind me asking when did you receive your decision from McCombs?
