@txgirl9457 yes I completed the required courses. I completed Macro-economics and calculus 1 during the fall 2013 semester and completed Micro-economics and calculus 2 during the spring 2014 semester.

@135pipe for some reason someone from admissions told me to write out my appeal and then fax it to the appeal committee. I don’t understand why I can’t file my appeal online. Thanks for providing me with the link though.

@collegestudent26 when I called admissions they told me that it would have been understandable if I got rejected from McCombs if I had a low GPA, however this was not the case. Some of the reasons they gave me for my rejection is that the application pool for McCombs was highly competetive, they also told me that McCombs probably filled up most of their external transfer spots due to them having a set limit to how many people they can accept. I am still going to contact the McCombs business to Make sure that there are some spots still available. I wish you the best of luck.

So I turned in my housing application on March 3rd. They still have not sent me a contract. I’m wondering, where are you guys going to live? I’ve started filling out applications for off-campus dorms. Right now, I’m looking into Dobie and the Castillian. Kinda sick of waiting for the housing contract.

Accepted!
COLA International Affairs and Global Studies
3.45 transfer GPA 3.5 cumulative
2 LOR 2 great essays

@mnaseem when I called them about the availability of space they just said they don’t know right now. They also said a lot of people with a GPA of 3.9 and 4.0 are getting denied. It’s just too competitive. Let me know what they tell you. Good luck to you as well.

ACCEPTED!!! i was just accepted yesterday to the school of social work with a 4.0 gpa. Thank you for this thread and all the help it gave me! Goodluck to all of you who are still waiting!

Congrats to all
Woooooo go longhorns

Here’s a post a left a couple weeks ago…
"Thanks for all your updates. I applied for external transfer to McCombs and… UT received my transcripts on 5/21. My status changed to “complete” on 5/22 then to “Admitted” on 5/27 in the morning.

I have 31 transferable hours from ACC, 4.0 GPA, two solid essays (at least that’s my opinion), and 3 LORs. I’m also a veteran with a technical professional background."

ACCEPTED to nursing major last night!!! FINALLY! I had been in review since the beginning of March… Congrats and good luck to everyone. Hook 'em!

@collegestudent26 Did you call admissions or McCombs?

Do both ^

McCombs also holds back a small number for internal transfers, something on the order of 250. From what I hear you better have a 3.8 or higher to get an internal transfer. They aren’t announced until early July.

does anyone have any input on CNS??? anybody?

So has ANYONE heard back from COE?

Can any out of state students who successfully transferred post their stats. I am going to apply next year coming from a college in Illinois. I would really appreciate any feedback/information I can get. I would apply to COLA as an English major.

Admitted in UT for economics! 3.77 gpa. Hard work paid off. Hook em :)

@mnaseem I called McCombs, but they told me to speak to admissions and admissions said they don’t know for sure how many spaces are available.

@jjyoon36 was your first choice economics?

@collegestudent26 yup

@PaulWall I will be starting the Spring 2015 transfer thread very soon! You’re welcome to post whenever you like, or message me!
