@135pipe Not sure if it makes a difference to sign up or not.

@yodiggity I feel you! I wish they would have made more than 3 orientation dates for transfers or at least made them a little larger for certain majors that only can go to two of the three.

I got my Letter of acceptance today!! it felt soo good!
I too was worried about in campus housing, but recently someone found me in the roommate matching thing and asked if I would like to room with them. I agreed! so I suggest to those people that think they wont get in campus housing, to try browsing facebook groups and see if they could find someone to room with them to make dorm fees much cheaper!

My Status just changed in the last few hours to “Sorry but we can’t offer you admission at this time…”. I have a GPA of 3.64 and had Social Work as my first major and Journalism as my second choice. Based on comments I read on here, I should have put UGS as my second choice, so I would have a better chance of acceptance. Several comments stated their GPA was lower than mine and fewer qualifications than mine, but they were accepted into UGS. I also saw several comments that indicated UGS is one of the easier majors to get into. I just didn’t do that because I don’t have semesters to waste trying to apply for internal transfers. Oh well…looks like I will be attending UNT beginning this fall! I have already met with academic counselors in the UNT Social Work program and really love their program, and the atmosphere and people in the Denton area reminds me of a mini version of Austin…so all is good!!!

@kkintexas - I’m sorry you didn’t get in. I know the wait was long and difficult. I can tell you from the experience of many friends that you’re in good hands at UNT. Also, your impression of Denton is spot on. It’s a fun and creative environment. Wishing you all the best in your college experience!

This is probably late, but my application still hasn’t gone into review anyway so it probably doesn’t matter. But could anyone possibly chance me? I’m a freshman at UCLA (on the quarter system) so I’m still waiting on final grades to get posted so I can send in my transcript for the full 30 hours, but I’m expecting to finish with a 3.04 or so (really low, I know) I’m a physiological sciences major at UCLA, so classes were tough. I’m in a sorority and joined a christian club on campus. I’ve got great extra c’s from high school and a good amount of volunteer service. Got a letter of rec and did the essays required and optional. I applied to CNS undeclared and UGS undeclared. I got accepted into UT my senior year of HS, but now I’m not so sure if I’ll be getting in at all. Desperate. For. Advice.

Do you guys think that from here on out its most likely going to be bad news? Based on MY observations with this thread, I feel like alot of acceptances were rolled out last week and this week we are going to have alot of "denied"s. IDK. Just my observation. I am still waiting for CNS with my backup as COLA undeclared. I have a 3.65 GPA. I am just kinda losing hope at this point.

On the other hand, maybe no news is good news. Not sure.

I was one of the ones who had under 30 hours and submitted their final trancscript in may or something. Do you think the fact that I had under 30 hours has something to do with the “lateness” of my decision? Ik that a couple of you guys have under 30 hours too and are still waiting which is y i am making this guess.

I got accepted last Tuesday. 3.875 gpa didn’t have 30 hours til may. No LOR essays were decent resume was lengthy. I applied for pre social work and government being second

I checked 15 times up until 6p and again at 8:30p…I’ve been accepted!! I did not get first choice (Communications–RTF) but am more than thrilled to be in COLA (undeclared). I had a 3.66 so my GPA could have been stronger but my extracurriculars and work experience are good. My essays were above average. The last week was excruciating…the wait finally ended with a good outcome. I have been grateful for this forum. I hope others who waited so long also received good news. Happy summer to all and best wishes for a bright future!
