Why do you think you were rejected?
Likely because I received one C in a major prep class (Linear Algebra) and one D in another class, but got mostly A’s in all other classes.
I was already considering passing on UCLA even if I got accepted and going to UCSB instead. The reason being that I don’t think I’m ready to face the reputed grade deflation in the UCLA math dept. Well UCLA passed on me first haha.
I’ll wait to hear from Cal, but I’ll likely end up at UCSB regardless of what Cal says for the same reason. Not interested in going to UCSD. I’m sure I’ll have a great college experience at UCSB before moving on to grad school. Plus I don’t really believe that there is a big difference in the undergrad math education between the UCs. Either way I’m sure I’ll have a great college experience at UCSB!
Yes, indeed make sure they receive your transcripts. Send it VIA CERTIFIED MAIL, you will get the return packet back with somebody’s signature saying they got it. I made sure I did that.

Congrats to everyone who got in and best of luck to those who are still waiting!
@tik1127, Well they did send it certified. What UCLA said is a bunch are in it, so there’s no way to verify with the email receipt which actually got included. I don’t know what happened but I’m leaning toward college of san mateo because of some earlier screw ups - like sending the first unifficial transcript in January with missing classes in it and they had to resend it. (CSM actually told my daughter, oh yeah, sometimes people forget to put a check mark next to all the classes.)
Oh well. It was a great learning experience, I’ll give it that.
If she gets into berkeley, I suggest she drive the sealed transcript over herself. !!
