@fullload and @apocalypso there’s a section on your portal that is intended for summer school financial aid. you have to apply. there’s three different applications for three different programs.

@bizmlover yes! I rarely see any statistics majors posting!! Actually I’m debating between ucd and ucla because ucd has a integrated degree program for statistics while ucla does not. Did you also apply to ucd??

Those are useless numbers. People rate their own essays or rate them based on others viewpoints. They’re self-grading.

Like many others here, this has been my dream school - I even changed my course of major largely to have a stronger likelihood for admission to UCLA. I was so obsessed, I had to take 3 self-tours of the campus just to extra motivate myself and be awe-inspired by the legacy of UCLA

@faithcareer, Engineering usually demands a high GPA. Did you look at all the rejected over at UCLA with 3.9?
You can call and ask, but assuming everything was completed, it probably was, unfortunately, that more competitive students applied. It’s very cut-throat. I’m sorry you didn’t have better luck.

Does anyone know how hard it is to switch into a NON-impacted major at UCLA? I got in for my alternate major, Gender Studies, but I want to go into Cognitive Science.
@sammycatt how many pre reqs did u NOT complete for cog sci?
@sammycatt do you have some prereqs done for cog Sci? If you don’t then it’ll take longer at ucla because you’ll need to complete them. I don’t think switching into it is a problem though.
I have a similar question as well. I was accepted as an anthro major, but I really want to switch into the major that I was rejected for when I applied last year, which was linguistics and computer science. Do you think I could switch into that? I’ve completed the equivalent of CS 31, CS 32, Philosophy 31 (symbolic logic), and some language classes, but that’s about it.
