Fall 2015 UCLA transfer students

Fullload, I’m just saying this as an outsider but I doubt the system will allow overlaps.

It did. I registered already.

How could it register you? I thought that’s all done at orientation?

Summer.

Ohhhhhhhhh. I see.

You just have to click a box that you acknowledge the overlap. It’s seriously 2 minutes away on foot, so I’m just hoping one or the other professor is cool with being late, or leaving early.

Aren’t we allowed to request our own roommates though? @luckie1367 we just both need to apply for the same dorms, suites, plaza, etc.

Yes, there is an option if you know someone else’s roommate ID thing.

Also, I guess the drinking question on the lifestyle thing might put you with older students…

But nothing stating ‘I want roommate my level or above’ or anything like that @LuckyName

I was told by a few people to actually not pick the middle level, as that is the level they use to fill out the lower and higher levels. It’s essentially the free pass level for the housing office. They love the middles! My daughter checked middle for everything at UCLA and ended up with ravers. Plus, there’s more likelihood of you being chosen as the third wheel to fill out a third space with two friends. The better approach if you want middle level is to mix and match middle and low. So, that was the approach my daughter took this year at Berkeley.

Wow, thanks @lindyk8 I think I might go back and change some of mine then…

I dig these tracking updates, luckie, it’s helping me keep on track. So what’s the education planner? Is that the same as class planner?

Thanks @fullload ! I’m glad its helping. I was actually doing it for next year’s group, so that they had an idea on the dates, but I’m glad its helping you! (Also, it satisfies some of my neuroses, but thats a different story  )

The Educational Planner is listed under MyUCLA → Campus Life → Survey (on far right)

It has to be done before one can register for orientation.

I’m not really sure if it is the same as a class planner or not.

Also, I double check here https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/NewBruins/NSG_Transfer.htm just to make sure i haven’t missed anything

The drinking question doesn’t do much. I applied for summer housing and said I wanted somebody that drank and I got an 18 year old and a 19 year old that said they wanted somebody who didn’t drink

Ha, sorry about that @LuckyName , at least it is summer only!

@luckie1367 I only applied for funsies, haha. I still have my apartment until August. I just wanted to see what they would give me.

Even better!

I wonder how much pull the questions have though, if it seems like that one had no effect at all…

I asked an academic councilor at my school if I would have to send all my transcripts from 8/2013 -6/2015 for the July 1st deadline. She confirmed I was required, but a UCLA represented that came to my school during April stated only spring semester. I’m only concerned because I have attended 4 college, but this spring semester I only attended one.
Help please?

They changed to that new screwy system. If you sent transcripts through fall 2014, by June 1 you need to only send spring by July 1. If you didn’t send anything, send them all.

Long time since the last time i posted on the thread but i recently ran into a bit of a problem. So I won’t finish IGETC until end of summer and the deadline for certification is Sept 1st which is highly unlikely that my school can send it in on time. So i called admission and the lady said it is okay to send it in after Sept 1st due to summer courses.

But now i have this question: “Will late IGETC Certification interfere with my class registration?”

Thank you for anyone’s inputs
