You can take a pic at Orientation or set up a pic ahead of time. As a time saver, I recommend submitting a pic beforehand, so all, you have to do is pick it up.
Plus, you know you’ll have a good photo if you submit it yourself!
im not going to lie, im going to be taking several shots before i submit mine
I took about 50 selfies to get just the right shot! LOL
yea im going to do that and dress up nicely JUST for that marginal pic of my top bwahahha
Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but in preparation for course registration & orientation, make sure you register for Class Scanner! It’s an external site specifically for UCLA that will send you a text message when the course you want to enroll in becomes available.
It might not be as useful orientation (as you don’t really have a large block of time to register), but I imagine it would definitely help for subsequent quarters.
Thanks guys!!! Also, I’ve been meaning to ask - pros/cons of getting a Den pass? Has anyone got one already?
@fncrane I talked to them a month ago about getting one, and they said we do it at orientation.
I’m getting one, since I know I’m going to want to go to all the games!
esp with the ones against USC :))
@trnsfrstdnt actually the LA SC football game this upcoming season is being played at the Colosseum I think, which isn’t covered by the den pass
You’re right it is
But our senior year game will be!
Sports? Yawwnnnnnnn!
Let’s go to games together, guys!
I wanted the dens pass but im not getting since I don’t want to go without having friends…
I would like to mention that I am a student athlete (cross country and track and field) but I am concerned about participating in athletics due to the fact that I applied for the school for their academics. Any suggestions?
@franchman you can do athletics. In fact, the UCs encourage athletic involvement. As to what level, etc I do not know. But there are intramurals that are open to all.
@History2Law
You may not have any friends at UCLA right now, but in no time you will. Besides that, the transfer community will usually have a couple of big tailgates throughout the season, where everyone’s invited to participate and hang out. I went to my first tailgate knowing one person, and I left with a dozen new friends. Everyone bring something, there’s a couple people who could, and everyone just needs drinks and has a great time before the game.
What’s great about the student seating, is that because it’s not signed it doesn’t matter who you go with.
^Thats what I was going to say. My plan was to just go around my dorm and invite people to go with.
I just reread my last post, and saw I had several typos - I’m using voice texting.
*Everyone brings something, there are a couple of people who cook, and everyone just eat, drinks, and has a great time before the game.
Also definitely join the transfer Facebook page, and keep up-to-date on what is going on. It’s a great source of information for fun events as well as academic information.
