I haven’t gotten my loan disbursement yet… Should I be concerned?
Does anyone know when the deadline to sign up for Bruin direct is? I can’t get my banking info until tomorrow.

@History2Law I’m unsure if there was a deadline, but it was disbursed into my account yesterday. You can sign up at anytime but I’m not sure if you’ll get the fall financial aid in there. Also if you go online to your banks website and look at your bank statements it should give you all your info that you need for bruin direct
@UCLA17 I dont have online banking set up at my credit union(It doesn’t even have a sign up button lol). The email says “If you have signed up for bruin direct then your refund was placed directly into your bank account. Otherwise, your refund will be mailed in the form of a paper check.”
Just wanted to make sure that it was mailed out. I see that when you set up Bruin Direct it has the option to select check or direct deposit but the email makes it seem like they will send you check if you dont do it by a certain date.
I’m here! Everything went well. Also, my aid was disbursed yesterday (through BruinDirect).
For those in a triple, Did you guys bring a step ladder to setup the bed? Were your roommates in the room or are they expected to leave during your move in appointment?
@CCCUCIVYLAW I believe some rooms come with ladders and some don’t, depending on the building, etc. My roommates all had the same move in time as me so I changed mine to earlier in the day

Is anyone else having a mini existential crisis while looking at all of their belongings packed up?
Maybe its just the news coverage of the refugee situation in Europe/Mid East, but wow, I’m so humbled to see all of my belongings grouped together, knowing I couldn’t even carry half of it if I needed to flee from my home…
Well I could carry half of my stuff certainly if you ignore the books. I try to keep things simple.

Make it heartfelt and sincere. Explain in succinct detail why you study your major. and how you got into it in the first place. That sort of stuff.
