Fall 2016 Transfer Thread - Cornell University

@2Brown4MyOwnGood Most of those people were in Cals tho? I only see two people in CHE on this thread who got accepted with their decisions. And I did not get my decision yet either but I also handed in everything near the deadline.

@HereToTransferr there were definitely a lot of CALs. Huh I coulda sworn seeing 3-5 CHE i might be wrong

still just want to hear a response asap

meanwhile, there is only one CAS acceptance…

^ that too, a GT haha

Has anyone heard back from Engineering?

Apparently, engineering applications are reviewed by professors.

lmao to get your engineering application reviewed by a professor. that could be horrible or a blessing in disguise.

well good luck everyone!

Thanks NjTransfer2016, I e-mailed them asking what is that they need from me but I doubt they will e-mail me back before the 10 days cut off happenes. I guess I’ll just e-mail them everything, though I can’t do that with my transcripts.

Good luck everybody!

PS. I have no idea how to tag people in posts? sorry!

@2Brown4MyOwnGood Vanderbilt is downtown so it is close to many little shops and such. If you’re wanting to explore other states, by all means get a car! But if you’re wanting to go to the groceries store/clubs there are some very close and could probably carpool with roommates friends. The setting is urban so all buildings are walking distance. If you choose vandy you’ll have a really good experience!

Would be a dream come true

Sorry I’m posting this late, but I’ve seen a lot of people say that CAS only took GT applicants last week, and I wanted to clear it up I got into CAS on 4/19 as a regular transfer student from a top 15 liberal arts school. The email came at 10:00 am and the acceptance packet came in the mail today. Best of luck to everyone who is still waiting to hear!

@ivybound5 Ahhh so pretty. i know i cant judge on if u get or not, but just in case, try to accept rejection if you get what i mean just in case everything doesnt turn out… you get what i mean? again not saying u or did not get in but admissions is a crapshoot lol

@socoutmia that makes a lot of sense! I’m not that interested in exploring every place that borders Tennessee hahaha I doubt I’ll have time. I’ll try to convince my parents that there’s no real point of bringing a car - thanks for your input!

@grktwn28 Congrats! Can you tell me what major you applied to and when you submitted your application?

Hi everyone. I am still waiting for CAS of Cornell. But yesterday I was admitted to college of W&M in Virginia. It’s such a great relief because I have somewhere to go anyway.

@2Brown4MyOwnGood No problem! If you don’t make it to Cornell (which I seriously doubt since you got into Vandy which has less admits than Cornell) you can message me about Nashville and things to do.

@AimHighandFight I applied to the Gov major and submitted my application on February 7.

how do people know that engineering application are reviewed by professors?

It’s on the website. FAQ

Does that make any difference, viewed by professors ?
