Don’t send transcripts until you SIR!
Good morning y’all.
Wrote an appeal letter, I feel its really good. I need someone to shoot me down.
Someone who isn’t part of my social circle, to offer some feedback.
It is no longer than 2 pages. Concise, and to the point.
Yes I know successful appeal rates are something like fahgetaboutit%
But I have nothing to loose.
Send me a private msg if your down like charlie brown.
@ricardomata83 I’m happy to look over it. I’m critical as hell.
@pereaa Yes! I’m gonna go to the Bay Area Reception on 5/7. I just need to figure out who I should bring as my plus 1, lol :-?
@Edirol That is so funny. I logged in to review my application again to make sure I didn’t make any mistakes and that everything is there. It is…and I’m 110% sure it’s correct…but I still can’t believe it! I need to be sitting in class and pinch myself before I believe it’s real!
@ricardomata83 “fahgetaboutit%” LMAO! I’m dying! :)) :)) :)) Best of luck to you though! :-bd
@jessebobessy lol, thank you. A few people volunteered their feedback, which I’m grateful for - but they haven’t responded. I’m hoping my appeal is so compelling that they are at a lost for words? hahaha
Who else still needs to get their shots for their immunization record and turn it in before June 1st?
@luxodom I’m trying to figure out all that now, it’s a huge pain. I’m a bit older than average so my immunizations are a little different, like they were single shots rather than a series. I had the tetanus done at an urgent care after a jogger’s dog bit me, so I’d need to try and track that down too. Then I don’t think I ever had a chicken pox vaccine because I had chicken pox, so I don’t even know how that works?
Just curious. The contract says we need to report if we get 2 or more C, or one C on major preparation courses. Does anyone know what major preparation courses are? Does GE (such as writing courses) count as one of major preparation courses if I am in Chemistry major?
Got rejected from berkeley today. gonna SIR to UCLA tonight. WHERE MY FELLOW BRUINS AT
@vvsharoom2016transfer wait, did the counselor say that the APs will be added automatically though? or do we have to tell them?
I called admissions about the vaccinations cuz I had to have my meningitis updated and it’s a series of 2 one month apart and they told me as long as I have it to them by the time I register then I’m fine. She said there really isn’t a deadline other than by the time I sign up for classes.
Does anyone know how difficult it is or know the process on switching majors? I’m in quite a predicament. I got accepted to UCLA as a pre-political science major (wanted to do law). But also got accepted to Cal as a business major for spring 2017 in January (not fall, sadly).
I was set on LA but I recently had a change of heart and wanted to switch to buisness economics instead. So now, I’m not sure if I should just go to Cal as a spring admit, or if I should go to UCLA this fall and try to switch majors.
Anyone care to chime in??
I got into Berkeley Yayyyyy!
I was so excited to reject the waitlist offer from UCLA!! They put me on waitlist AGAIN on my BIRTHDAY.
I just checked NO on waitlist opt-in. Sooooo refreshing! :-bd **** Bruins!!
@props we need meningitis? I don’t remember seeing that on there.
@Oldhopeful I think that’s what the meningococcal vaccine is for (?) Or maybe that’s for a specific strain.
Funny they’re asking for chickenpox vaccine as well. Something I dealt with like 25 years ago. I actually had to get my MMR vaccine done a few years ago because it was required for another college, but I can’t find my immunization records. It said we can get titers done, which is what I’ll have to do, but still, uggggggh I hate needles.
@Edirol Ohhh, is that the one you don’t need if you’re over 25? I don’t mind the needles, I just hate the constant stream of waiting rooms.
@Oldhopeful I noticed that too on their form regarding meningococcal: “1 dose on or after age 16 for all students age 21 years or younger.”
I’m definitely older than 21 so I’m going to verify with the school that I won’t have to get that…
Wow, I completely forgot about the immunization requirements. Do we really need that meningococcal vaccine?
