The meningococcal is a recommended vaccine. Admissions said it is not a requirement but they heavily recommend it so I’m doing it. I got the first one the other day and have to get the second one in a month. That’s why I called them cuz it is cutting it close but I should be fine since it will still before I register for classes.
@props - Do you know the date when we are able to register for classes? I want to make sure I have everything handled before then.
U sign up starting in June thru August for a new student orientation day and that’s the day you sign up for your classes from what I understand
i’m hating the vaccination requirements, it’s going to be a pain for me to gather all the documents. i’m missing the the meningitis and it says its required - so i absolutely have to do it if i’m 21 or under?
Guys, I’m torn between Berkeley and LA.
The UCLA event on May 7th at Berkeley is now full. Is there anyway I can still go? I was waiting for my mom to confirm if she could go, but it said to RSVP by April 29th and it’s now full.
has anyone gotten their admission packets? or bruin day invite?
@uclabruin96 you should have listed them in your UC application when you applied! So if you havent done that, I would update it as soon as you can. Also, make sure you go on to collegeboard and send your scores in to the school you decide to SIR to
I GOT INTO BERKELEY, I can’t believe it!
Accepted: UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UC Berkeley
Considering my major, I’ll most likely attend UCLA.
I read that the last day to accept UCLA is June 1st, though my adviser had told me it was May 1st? It’s June 1st, right?
I am an out of state student and I felt like UC is very easy to get in. But I am surprised that UCLA offers me 20k grant but Cal offer nothing but FAFSA. It is really great to be accepted by these prestigious schools but I really can’t afford them.
All, please refer to Luckie’s great tracking information, repeated in this new pinned thread:
Transfer SIR is due on June 1st. Freshman SIR is due on May 1st.
You register for at least 2 classes on the day of your orientation. The portal to register for the orientation will be in June. You’ll receive a postcard and an email IIRC. It is a long day, finishing sometime between 7pm-9pm.
You should send transcripts twice – once by June 1st that shows your grades through Fall 2015 and then by July 1st for Spring grades. If your quarter or semester ends in May, will your CC post all grades in time to send the official transcripts? Due to the Memorial Day holiday, it would be safer to send transcripts twice.
No admission packet yet for me. What’s the MECHA day invite?
is it bad to choose my college based on which has the cutest mascot?
not at all, that’s a great deciding factor
Does anyone know if the UC review our official transcript when they receive it right away, or wait until July 1? My school is already ending and I can have my transcript sent in by next week.
From past experience: Admissions will not acknowledge reviewing transcripts until right before the scheduled orientation that you sign up for.
Is anyone planning on taking summer classes this upcoming summer at UCLA? Presumably session C, which starts on August. Do you know when the last day to sign up for summer sessions and how the housing situation will work?
Has anyone got their acceptance package in the mail?
Summer sessions can be signed up for until the day they start, as long as there is room in the class. You can apply to live on campus during the summer.
ETA: http://www.summer.ucla.edu/calendar last day to add session C class is 8/5.
Does anyone else’s contract say you need to submit Ap test scores, when in fact you didn’t list any in the uc application? I’m wondering if this is just generic stuff?
