@Panorama14 my D an English major, really enjoyed the Film and TV screenwriting class!
Congrats to all of those that got in.
I was accepted from the 2014 bunch(Pre-History) and my time is coming to an end at UCLA. As one group leaves, a new flock will emerge as Bruins. You will be amazed how quickly time will go by. It seems like the other day I was doing orientation and registering for my courses for the Fall 2014 quarter. The long 16-18 hours are ahead of you, do not fear it, embrace it, challenging yourself is the beauty of college life. Midterms and finals seem stressful but once they are done, you can leave with a smile on your face because you have left it all on the line.
Enjoy your Spring and Summer and prepare for the Fall 2016 quarter.
P.S.- For those Pre-History majors, if you have any questions, such as which professor you should take, feel free to ask. I don’t post that often, but I check in periodically.
Someone quick ! Living Learning community or campus apartment?
how do we fill out the housing application/where can i find it?
@UCLAFFF how do we apply for summer aid?
@Panorama14 Transfer Community all the way!
@wannabeflower https://housing.ucla.edu/my-housing and go to MyUCLA > Finances and Jobs > middle column under Summer Financial Aid application
@wannabeflower it’s under the new student tab in your myucla for housing
And summer aid is under finances and jobs
@Tik1127 Hi, thanks for the advice! I was admitted as a Pre-History major and have a couple questions. I was wondering what the research opportunities were like, if you can do multiple research projects during one’s undergrad career, and how likely is it to have one’s work published? I was also wondering how helpful the history writing center is? Thanks in advance!
Where can I see if my transcripts were received on MyUCLA?
@xenoplanet It should be on your homepage all the way at the bottom.
Research projects will be available, the man you’ll need to talk to is Paul Padilla at the History department. He can direct you in the right direction.
As for the writing center. I never went to it. I know some people need it. If you’re a good writer, then you’ll do fine.
How do I decline Berkeley admission? I could not find any where to click.
Can you guys give me an evaluation and chance me? Thanks! ![]()
If anyone is considering doing work study, I recommend you hop on it NOW. The sooner the better. You can access work study jobs via MyUCLA portal.
idk if anyones already posted this, but the thread has gotten too long for me to lurk. so, does anybody know if we get to keep our ucla emails for life
@tracy1017 yes, if you are a UCLA graduate, you keep your @ucla.edu email for life!
@UCLAFFF Is this including Fall semester?
I had 3 transcripts sent to UCLA weeks ago. I had two checkmarks next to two of the schools on the MyUCLA page, now I only have one checkmark. Not sure how it was received and then ‘un’ received but now I’m freaking out
Guess I’ll need to call them tomorrow.
@Edirol did you send them electronically? I’m still debating whether I should mail them or send them electronically.
@LopApo - My CCC sent it electronically and it went through very quickly and that’s the only school with a checkmark thus far. The other two schools are out of state and I didn’t have the electronic option.
