Is there a chance theyll do it like 3 am tonight? Lol. I’ve seen the UCLA campus and didn’t like it very much. Pretty sure I’m going to Irvine. But it would still be nice to know if I made it into UCLA.
lmao this is a nice change from the UCSD thread… they sent out a bunch of rejections and I was one of them so I’m sitting here waiting for Berkeley and LA to tell me the same
@dtretyak I too was caught in the great UCSD purge of 2017 today. I’m just glad that I dished out an extra hundred bucks to apply to my safety schools.
I’m very nervous. Less than 24 hours to go. Anyone also a political science major? I got accepted to UCSD back in March and Irvine last week and now to the top two UC’s are releasing this week! I’ve been following the threads for a while but never post.
I was also caught in the wave of UCSD rejections today. Ugh.
Are there any other cog sci majors?
24 HOURS
@Velvokay cheers, dude… I didn’t have the time because of medical issues so I might have to switch majors which is saddening so I can stay at my current university… this is dumb… I know UCLA won’t take me
@mjstewart1224 wait what happened with UCSD, I didn’t apply there so idk.
Is anyone else just like basically preparing themselves for getting rejected tomorrow? lol
@UCLAorUCBTRNSFR we think that the UCSD decisions came in waves so 1 day was acceptance, the next was waitlist, and today was rejection
@Transfer510 Are they even doing rejections tomorrow? Or just acceptances and rejections later?
A fellow lurker here, but I have seen people on here talk about major GPA vs total GPA. Does UCLA really take your major GPA into consideration? (like if your major gpa is a 4.0, but your total gpa is like a tiny bit below that).
@amxelia Also wondering this??? Anyone?
@MiniGrace11 It’s crazy that basically every campus had fewer transfer applicants except merced and santa cruz. And those schools baaaaarely increased this year. Maybe this is good news for us!! I wonder if theres any study or statistics on like the decline in our generation going to school? Maybe its a millennial thing? This is my anthro brain talking…I should do an ethnography researching millennial college dropouts ahahahaha
@5HisLife tbh I’d rather them do that. It’ll soften the blow of a rejection.
GOOD LUCK FAM!! Been lurking here for a while, ditch the anxiety, wherever you end up y’all gonna kick a**
@cspoon1126 oh yeah, I totally think its a generation thing! I think it has to do with money too! most people are applying to state schools because they’re cheaper.
@cspoon1126 Kind of, I think. For example, if you have a 3.5 overall GPA but a 4.0 major GPA, they’d probably consider it (e.g. all A’s in math but B’s and C’s in English).
Seeing how many qualified, high gpa transfers that got rejected from UCSD today makes me kinda nervous for UCLA :\ i hope its not the same…
@jmunoz I am a Politcal Science major too! Hopefully we both can get in!
