Did you already notify the schools? I don’t think it should matter if they aren’t prereqs or needed for the 60 units.
@bmora101 That’s exactly what I did. I was taking 19 units and had to get a second job so I dropped 2 classes. I wasn’t aware that with that I’d only be at 59 units then UCSB emailed me and UCSD called me and I quickly added a class and they said that was okay, I’m still accepted as long as I don’t drop any more classes, so you should be fine.
@amunroeee there isn’t a set standard of general requirements for the regents invitation since it’s up to whoever is reading your application.
@LesKnope Hey! I received the regents scholarship last year, which was quite surprising to me since I didn’t think that I was applying with the best GPA per say. I applied with a 3.87 GPA, 4.0 transferable GPA, and basically all of my other sections completely filled out. I would also say that my personal statements were pretty good.
I just wanna say that all of you guys sound like amazing students, and whatever happens, y’all should be proud of what you’ve accomplished so far. Regardless of what UCLA deems as “acceptable,” bright things are coming your way
Does anyone know the trick to check admission decision through my ucla a transfer student from the 2013 thread found out his decision two days before it came out from that website. I know someone discussed it here before how doers it work
I think that trick was deleted, I tried to find it too
I heard that the website was upgraded so the “trick” may not work anymore.
No matter what happens guys, I want YOU ALL to know that you are amazing, brilliant, kind, and caring people and even though I don’t know you guys in real life, the bonding over the stress of decisions has made me feel so close to you all. Whatever our decisions may be, I am so proud of you guys and I wish you guys nothing but success and happiness wherever we may go. these decisions will not define us, and everything happens for a reason. No matter where we get a diploma from…we gotta make the most of it and do as much good as we can with it! :’) I feel so blessed to have found this site and I hope ALL of us get in…even if the odds seem like they’re against us. UCLA does a holistic application process…and that makes me feel like we’ve all got a good chance because of who we are <3 plays cheese background music about friendship lol
:((
Is anyone planning on dorming? off campus apartments? commuting? I kinda wanna dorm but I’m not sure how I’d do with a roommate. I stayed on campus for a week in 2014 and had a roommate that was a passive aggressive racist …I’m kinda scared that will happen again. I also have fears about sharing a bathroom… ._. anyone else have this fear?
I’m planning on dorming, but I’m afraid to plan out my whole life there and get rejected. It will hurt much harder if I start planning now rather than Friday.
I’m planning on commuting since I would only be 8 miles away. I’m just nervous about parking since it’s not guaranteed.
I think you can take a look at their housing website, at least, you would know where to look for information once you get in.
AND YES I HAVE FEARS ABOUT SHARING A BATHROOM. I’ve been watching storytimes and horror stories on YouTube and with the kind of luck I have I’ll end up getting stuck with the worst of the worst [-X
I feel. I’ve already gone down that hole. but same. no matter where I go, I wanna dorm.
yeah, that’s why I plan on dorm. I’m hoping that I can bring my car with me in case I need it. I don’t live far enough to REALLY need it but …you never know. I hate driving in L.A though lol. I get too much anxiety. The streets are totally different in the valley
I’d have to dorm for sure for the first year due to medical reasons, but after that I’d probably commute if reasonable (because dorms are expensive af). And that stands for anywhere I end up, to be honest.
@LynAmmo OMG girl, are you me?? I’ve been reading through this thread and I relate to literally all of your replies. I’m so nervous about sharing a bathroom because how do I know everyone else will be clean?? And omg I want to think about the dorming thing too but if I plan out everything today and then get a rejection…oooooo I will be crushed hah! How does everyone know for sure that results are coming Friday??
Can any one chance me?
Major: Linguistics&Psychology
Transferable GPA: 3.55
Major GPA: 3.82 (there are only few prerequisites tho… I took several 2nd language courses (french,2 courses of japanese, sign language), Intro to Psychology, Computer Programming)
I saw the statistics that shows the percentiles and average GPA of UCLA linguistics&Psychology major.
For the past few years, the middle 50% admiited GPA were 3.3-3.7, which means my GPA is right in the middle of the middle!
So does it mean my chance of getting in would be 50%? bcuz I’m in the middle range of the admitted GPA?
I’m so nervous and scared as this is my second time applying…
So far, I got into UCSB, UCR, UIUC and ASU… I got a honors program offer and $13000 scholarship offer (I am international student) from UCR so assuming that I appear as a NOT BAD student to UCs’…
