Sigh, FROM MY OWN personal experience, waitlist is a basic rejection. UVA is known to not take people off in my own experience and from people at my community college.

UVA is my ultimate dream, and honestly, after this SAT thing, I was expecting a rejection, so the waitlist isn’t the worst case scenario. Regardless, UCLA is an AMAZING school, and I’m sure you’ll be happy wherever you go.
I actually know a student who got off the waitlist. Even if the chances are low, I’m still gonna fight and give it my all.

I can’t believe it.
In-state, nontrad applicant.
I went to four different high schools and barely finished with a 2.6…
First year of CC and maintained a 4.0 all year.
Decent essays, focused on the potential and not the bad.
Average ECs but I do have life experience.
I had inquiry access denied and to do list items since the first week of March.
Did not send SAT/ACT scores but the area disappeared today.

My daughter was accepted to CAS. Freshman from UNC. Rejected from Emory and Wash U today, so this was a nice surprise.

I was rejected and I realized I should write my stats. In state CAS
College GPA 3.1 first semester 3.3 second, 2.8 HS gpa, ultimate frisbee and esports club member. Took 17 hours of class first semester along with a mix of 200 level classes. Worked a job and become a minor part time streamer as a twitch affiliate.
Anyone know about financial aid/awards being sent out?
