Fall TV

I hadn’t even heard of Forever or How to Get Away With Murder until I read this thread! Those look good. I’ve missed the first episode or two now :frowning: Maybe I can find them online. I also missed the first episode of Madam Secretary, even though I’d been looking forward to that one. We rarely watch anything live, so rely on the DVR. Sometimes they start advertising new shows way before you can find them to set up recording…then, once you’ve tried a couple times, you tend to forget that you tried but were unable to set it up…and think you DID set it up…lol I am binge watching older episodes of Once Upon a Time, so I guess I’ll wait on that one.
The Middle is a favorite of mine.
Looking very much forward to the return of some of the PBS/BBC series.
Looking forward to Under the Dome ENDING…It’s gotten so bad! LOL But now that we are into it this far…we want to see the end…soon?
We don’t get any cable channels…So those shows will have to wait until Netflix has them.

surprised nobody mentioned Downton Abbey! Season premiere was great

Last year’s Once Upon a Time was iffy. When the finale forecast the direction of this year, we all sighed and said, “Yeah – no.”

Wait…what??! Downton Abbey is back already? Are you getting UK TV or is it on PBS already??

Finally watched Forever on the DVR - loved it! The combination of medicine/police procedural/supernatural goes down easy, I love the antique shop/historical NYC bits. And I didn’t know Judd Hirsh was in the cast until he appeared! He is great in this.
Haven’t seen How to Get away with Murder yet, but that’s the one that I’m most excited to see next.

Downton Abbey? Not back until January in the US I believe so please hide spoilers!

My returning shows are:

*Sleepy Hollow/i

*Agents of Shield/i
*Person of Interest/i

(Also enjoyed the fact that in both of the last two shows the teams have to hide undercover to serve and protect.)

Nashville
*Once Upon A Time/i
*Revenge/i

I am trying out Forever except got really distracted with the idea of the 2000 year old man because all I could think of was Mel Brooks.

And I want to try Selfie because I really like the two lead actors. Which reminds me that Doctor Who is also one of my returning shows but they really have to get rid of Clara for me to fully appreciate the new Doctor. So not Amy.

I have enjoyed the two episodes of Red Band Society. The acting is better than I expected and I adore Octavia Spencer. I dumped Revenge, Scandal, Once Upon a Time and Scandal last year.
Comcast had the pilot for Selfie last month. It was cute, but I am not sure if it can sustain me. The only sitcom that I kept last year was Mom. I might add A to Z to replace my HIMYM.
As a comic fan, I an intrigued by Gotham and want to see how they do Constantine. I will also try the Flash, since we enjoy the Arrow.

^You were so over Scandal, you dumped it twice! :))

Faves are Nashville (well not this week) and Parenthood. Watched Chicago Fire and Scandal for the first time. Scandal was very interesting for a first time viewer. Made me want to see the prior seasons.

^ I thought Nashville was pretty good this week. I was happy that Rayna made a smart choice for once. (I’m sure that will be undone very soon and she will get back on the merry go round with Deacon and his problems.) Juliet knocked that Patsy Cline song out of the park!

Shoboemom you can catch Madam Secretary online at cbs.com.

I’ve given up on Grays Anatomy, Revenge, Scandal and Under the Dome. Almost ready to give up Big Bang Theory and Resurrection.

I’m still watching Parenthood, SVU and Criminal Minds.

I couldn’t even get through the first episode of Scorpions. I just saw an ad for Gotham and I may give that a try.

Really looking forward to the return of Walking Dead, The Americans, Homeland and Shameless.

BTW, looks like a Walking Dead Marathon starts 10/6,

And I almost forgot…Bates Motel!

Surfette99, how does CBS.com work? I have the app on my iPad, but I can only find full episodes of Big Brother, Reckless, and Extant. All the other shows seem to be clips only. What am I missing?

Sorry, Smurfette99 for misspelling your name!

Oh, @Snowdog ! How can you diss on Deacon like that?!?! He and Rayna are meant to be together. Luke has a shady side that hasn’t been fully exposed yet, but that was hinted at when his son was on the show and posting the video of Maddie.

I love Nashville, but recognize that it isn’t very deep. Callie Khouri is from my town and is my age, although I only met her once in high school since she went to Catholic school. We are a big cluster of fans here, but I really don’t know that the show has legs beyond this season. What keeps it moving forward for me is the music and my love of the real Nashville.

^agree- love the music, rooting for Deacon- that’s why I wasn’t happy with this episode.

Probably showing my demographics - still watching Castle, Bones, Grey’s and NCIS. Meant to try out Forever but it slipped in while I wasn’t paying attention. Now need to catch it on demand. Lost interest in Once Upon a Time last year some time. DH loves Blacklist.

Yeah I love Deacon, he’s so cute especially while making all his promises that he’s a new man. Having been married previously to an alcoholic, however, I think Rayna should sideline him permanently!

I thought Scarlett looked really different this season. Her face is much thinner but there’s something else that I can’t put my finger on.
