Fall TV

<p>ek, it’s on lifetime. A two parter. Part One is repeated tomorrow night right before Part Two. I suspect it will be repeated several times on LT during the next few weeks. </p>

<p>

</p>

<p>Have it waiting on the DVR for later. The reviews I saw gave it a thumbs-up: “One part Raiders of the Lost Ark and one part Doctor Who, TNT’s new fantasy-adventure series …” <a href=“The Librarians: "And the Crown of King Arthur / And the Sword and the Stone" Review - IGN”>http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/12/07/the-librarians-and-the-crown-of-king-arthur-and-the-sword-and-the-stone-review&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

<p>Sounds fun, no more and no less.</p>

<p>Watched Olive Kitteridge over the past couple of days. Wonderful work by Frances McDormand, but bleak, my goodness…maybe a good antidote to holiday schmaltz. </p>

<p>I rewatched Olive Kitteridge yesterday, snowdog. I saw it when it was originally on and it made me want to reread the book, which I had read years ago. So after rereading it, I wanted to watch the show again. I enjoyed it even more this time. I agree that Frances McDormand was wonderful, as was the entire cast, but, yes, very bleak. She was an interesting character!</p>

<p>Has Person of Interest turned into a caricature of itself?</p>

<p>If NCIS-NOLA explains the patently obvious to me one more time, I will kill someone.</p>

<p>I really need to record more off-network TV.</p>

<p>I still enjoy Person of Interest.</p>

<p>I also like Covert Affair.</p>

<p>I miss Burn Notice.</p>

<p>DD is home for the holidays and we just did a marathon session of The Comeback, Lisa Kudrow’s show from 2005 which has been brought back by HBO for its second season, 9 years later. Haven’t started season 2 yet; season 1 was deliciously funny and very prescient about reality TV. </p>

@Madison85 I just watched the episodes of “Librarians” that I recorded and enjoyed them. It has a “Warehouse 13” vibe.

Oh! I’m not sure if I ever watched Warehouse 13. But I do remember a show about a store that had sold evil objects and each episode the heroes hunted down and required the evil object.
@doresearch

I streamed Mozart in the Jungle off of Amazon last week. I want more!

Has anyone else seen Will Forte’s “The Last Man on Earth”? Watched the first two episodes, the first episode was absolutely brilliant and the second episode not that far behind. Totally original, nothing else like it on TV.

I was quite taken with “Last Man”, though it’s hard to guess how it will be sustained over the long haul. All I could think of was that my H and both kids would be living in the exact same conditions as Phil…Love the details, like the presidential seal rug in the foyer.

Anyone else watching “Hindsight” on VH-1 (not likely, since the ratings are poor)? Very cute premise, some good actors, and the era-appropriate music (90’s) will be enjoyable for many. I don’t hold out much hope for it to be renewed and only hope it doesn’t end with a bunch of untied loose ends.

“Better Call Saul” has me intrigued and a bit bemused, but it’s nice to have a show that’s so unpredictable. I’m still giggling about the “sex toilet” and appreciating that the script treated the Hummel lady with as much kindness as humor. It’s all so original.
