Fall TV

I like Ray McKinnon( the director) , I’ve been watching him on Sons of Anarchy, but only saw the first episode of Rectify.
I’m currently watching Last Tango in Halifax, which I like much better than other book group recommended shows.

Darn - still don’t have “Rush” showing on Comcast On Demand list. It’s one of the shows that DH and I both like.

Who is watching The Affair? Geez, I really can’t stand Dominic West’s character.

^ My sister is. I don’t have that channel.

Tomorrow on HBO Olive Kitteridge starts. It got wonderful reviews and one said it was similar to The Affair. It’s only a two parter.

I am, snowdog! I don’t like the Noah character either but I am liking the show. I think it’s interesting how they are telling the story, and the cast is very good.

^ I think so too. Good story. The Alison character is much more sympathetic.

So it looks like the new shows that I’ve added to my regular watching schedule are Madam Secretary and Forever. I still want to watch The Flash and have it waiting on the DVR till I can binge-watch or drop.

I dropped - with almost no pangs of regret - Revenge and Scandal.

Anyone picked up a favorite?

We just noticed that Newsroom (HBO) has a third season (last one, only 6 episodes) being released on Sundays. Enjoying that.

I added Madame Secretary. Tried State of Affairs but I thought the plot was stupid and the acting terrible.

Happily been watching the The Newsroom. Sad it’s the last season.

I watched Girlfriends Guide to Divorce last night and I liked it.

I dvr’d all the epi’s of The Paradise and Death Comes to Pemberley. Saving those for Xmas week when there is nothing on TV to watch.

I dropped The Paradise after a couple of episodes, couldn’t get into it. Liked Death Comes to Pemberely, wasn’t that written by P.D. James? She recently passed away.

Olive Kitteridge was so well done, but possibly the saddest thing I have ever watched on television. It really is nothing like The Affair.

OK. That was just what the review I read said.

It was incredibly sad. I watched all 4 epi’s at once. I was a mess by the time it was over.

Dropped Madam Secretary, Arrow. Still watching Revenge, Grey’s (Habit, I guess). Cannot miss: Sons of Anarchy (last season), Walking Dead, Grimm, Reign. Intrigued by Starz’s Missing.

Scandal. Sigh. I still like the story but the president makes my skin crawl and I do.not.get why Olivia has anything to do with him.

I love the president…what I am not liking is the shouting going on with Olivia and her Dad and Olivia and Cyrus and everyone else who wants to make a point.

I quit Scandal. Can’t quit Grey’s either. Embarrassed to say I watched the 'how to get away with murder’show, but more out of idle curiosity than enjoyment.

Anyone watching The Librairians? Series premier was Sunday night.

I am still watching Scandal, but I just want to shake Olivia sometimes till she spills her wine.
Not caught up.
Not caught up with Last Tango in Halifax either, because it will be a while before the next season makes it to the U.S.
It also has a character that you just want to shake some sense into.

^ LTIH has a few!

I’m dvring The Red Tent tonight. I loved the book so hoping mini series doesnt ruin such a good story.

That was our first book group book, 15 years ago.
I didn’t know there was a mini series.
