I’m at a loss for what to prepare! What are you serving for Super Bowl?
It’s just H and I so we are just going to do chili.
One of my favorite “junky” super bowl foods is crumbled sausage in wonton skins w/ pepper jack cheese sprinkled on top. The sausage is cooked with some ranch dressing, I bake the wonton skins is muffin tins, and then fill at the last minute.
(I miss super bowl parties!)
This is really good. Paddy's Reuben Dip Recipe: How to Make It or without slow cooker this version is good too Reuben Dip Recipe
That sounds really yummy and so different! It’s on my list-thanks!
So funny! I opened this thread to post that reuben dip! It’s terrific!
I’m not sure we will watch the game. If we do, we will just have regular food…because we aren’t having a Super Bowl party.
Apparently we are having a queso dip my son saw on TikTok of all places!
We don’t have any real favorites, and we haven’t been to a SuperBowl party in years so we just make a bunch of finger foods that my kids request. I don’t know what is on the menu for sure yet, other than chips with the TikTok queso and Old Bay wings.
I’m going to make traditional buffalo chicken wings, soft pretzels, caramel corn, artichoke spinach dip, and peanut butter chocolate brownies. And this is just for the four of us. I basically use the Super Bowl as an excuse to make junk food. My H doesn’t like American football so he wants to have a “Premier League” Sunday party lol. I don’t care so long as I get my chicken wings and brownies.
+1 to the Super Bowl usually just being an excuse to eat appetizer-ish foods.
No interest in watching this year - not even for commercials BUT I have a hankering to make homemade baked chicken wings with a spicy rub so hope to make that happen.
I’m not a big fan of the NFL (college football is another story) so I look at the Super Bowl as an excuse for a party with friends. Of course, this year that’s not possible.
For our family gathering I’m making food we can nosh on all day (and have leftovers!). White bean chicken chili, fresh avocado, cheese, sour cream, etc. Tortillas, queso, guac. And I’m modifying a Keto-friendly chicken broccoli casserole into Buffalo chicken dip with cucumber slices and celery.
My H made --Andouille Sausage puffs two days ago. He was trying it out for his Super Bowl menu. It was really good and easy to make. He used Dufours puff pastry.
D2 and I were just talking about what to make last night. We decided on buffalo chicken dip, queso dip, and carne asada nachos. We will make homemade chocolate chip cookies and top them with ice cream and chocolate sauce for dessert.
Board, bottle, and Bucs, baby!!
I am just going to do a charcuterie board with meats/cheeses, crackers, spreads, olives, nuts, medjool dates, dried apricots, etc.
For the playoff game, I made pizza dip. Layer in a pie plate:
Softened cream cheese mixed with 1 tsp oregano and 1/4 tsp garlic salt
Pizza sauce
Chopped onions
Chopped bell peppers
Mozzarella
Pepperoni (I chop it so it’s easier for dipping)
Italian seasonings
Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes until hot. Serve with Fritos scoops. Just like pizza, you could add whatever toppings you wanted!
Oh, this is a fun thread! You all have posted a lot of yummy things. My D21 has a milk allergy, so we never have anything cheesy, unfortunately, which seems to be big for Super Bowl.
We will make chips and guacamole for snacking. Then for dinner, I’m making fajitas (they are quick and easy), with a side of mexican quinoa. Mexican-Spiced Vegetable Quinoa - Jessica Gavin
Definitely trying the Andouille sausage puffs! We are eager to do something different. Hope I can find the puff pastry at my grocery.
I’m calling this a Super Bowl day menu - but really no intent to watch the game!
Our final menu:
Baked chicken wings with siracha yogurt dip
Twice stuffed potatoes with mashed cauliflower as the guest ingredient
Kale salad
Homemade oatmeal pie cookies
(D2 made these yesterday snd they are OUTSTANDING!!)
We went with wings (a must), pigs in a blanket, and Texas red chili.
