I tore my jaw last night and it gave me a pounding headache. I couldn’t concentrate at all and the pain woke me up at like 2am. I’m just really disappointed because I was practice testing at around an 84% and the cutoff for a 5 is 78. I did great in the class and I just feel robbed of a 5. Thanks for reading I just want to shout into the CC void.
Ugh something similar happened to me on bio last year. I got really sick on test day and I didn’t finish the free response, but somehow I still ended up getting a 4. Like you, I was getting 5s on all my practice tests.
I know if they allowed students to take it late for illness or injury people would abuse it but it just sucks. I’m praying to the probability gods I somehow got a 5 but I don’t see that happening. Most likely a 4, and I’m really hoping it’s not worse. I’m not great at score predicting.
Wow, that’s awful! Sometimes bad things happen when you have testing. One of the guys in my AP Chem class ended up taking the AP Chem exam with a concussion (why did he choose to do that??) and I’ve taken some standardized tests with colds/ear infections/etc. All you can really do is hope for the best.
That sucks. It was just the timing was awful. I’ve been sick like twice and one was during spring break and the other was a minor cold. I was just so angry that the night before an exam I’ve been studying a year for I yawned too wide and tore something. I just couldn’t believe it. I mean what are the chances? Thanks everyone I wasn’t really expecting a lot of responses.
that really sucks I hope you get a 5! you deserve it after going through all that. if you were getting practice test 5’s, hopefully even despite this it’ll pay off for you
Thanks I hope so too
I feel like the % of fives will drop even further this year. SO many people thought it was so hard!
I didn’t think it was bad at all, but I was over-prepared and Environmental Science is my thing
