Anyone else excited about the premiere of LOST tonight? I have mixed feelings because I can’t wait to follow the rest of the story, but I don’t want it to end.

I am very cyked for tonights premiere. It is two hours. There also is an hour long recap before the premiere at 8 but I think it is the same thing that they aired last Tuesday evening.

I’ll kind of be glad when it’s all over. I’ve been “lost” since watching it from the beginning. I have enjoyed it, but am ready for it to end.

I am ridiculously obsessed with Lost… I have a handful of theories that I am eagerly awaiting verification/rejection for.

My son turned me on to LOST back in it’s first season. I was surprised that he liked it so much. By the end of the year I was hooked on it too. I miss those days when we would watch it together every week.

I am totally hooked too as is my entire family. My college seniors check in each week after they watch so that we can compare theories!

DH and I never watched it when it started. Too busy with work, kids, etc. In our empty nest years we have been watching previous seasons via netflix. We are still in Season 2 so I won’t be reading this thread for spoilers.
Enjoying watching it now and it seems to be one show we both enjoy. (And there aren’t many of those!)

Okay, would love some fellow Losties to weigh in on last nights episode here. I am a little more 'lost" than usually. Are they trying to do something like the movie “Sliding Doors”…two parallel universes? I was also disappointed that they made Juliet die again (why milk it, she already has a new job on V).

^I’m wondering if the “parallel universe” only applies to the Oceanic 6. So far, they’re the only ones we’ve seen both landing in LAX and still on the island. Charlie, Rose, etc. seem to have landed in LAX as if the crash never happened. Maybe that’s what Juliet means when she said (through Miles) “It worked”?

But why just those six? Was it the previous contact with Jacob?

Trying to figure all this out makes my head spin!

^^^ No, its not just the Oceanic Six. Sawyer wasn’t one of the six. Bernard and his wife were also on the plane, along with all the people that they killed off. Shannon was supposed to be on that plane too though, that is just wrong. What was the deal with Desmond on the plane…he wasn’t on the original plane he was on the island pushing the button and if he wasn’t (due to change in the past), he should have been a boat heading for the race!

I wouldn’t try too hard to figure it all out. The writers have said that they haven’t finished writing the season yet and don’t know what it all means themselves.

You’re right…not just the six. But did Jacob make contact with everyone who is still on the island? I think so.

Who are the people at the temple? Another batch of Others? Richard seemed to understand the significance of the fireworks (I’m guessing that means Jacob is dead or the Temple is in danger), so I think the Temple people are Others.

I have no idea what is going on but I love the show. :)

TonyK - I still “watch” it with my daughter. We chat via skype the whole time it is on. I highly recommend it. It is an hour long conversation that has nothing to do with their lives, just a common interest. In fact last year, she had a class when it was on, so I would wait for her to watch and episode on ABC.

I told DD last nite that my head hurt from keeping it all straight. I love it and will miss it when it is over. I know it was cheesy dragging out the scene with Juliet, but I thought Sawyer and Juliet were great.

I think those people at the temple are the Hostiles.

I think Sayid is Jacob reincarnated.

Ooooh, patsmom! I like how you think!

I’ll ask y’all because my kids get impatient with all my questions.

John Locke is the black monster, but that’s not really Locke?

Yes…John Locke is dead.

The character that looks like John Locke is the man in black.

And at this point, it’s kind of the Jacob people against the Others, but we don’t know whether Jacob is good or bad?

Well, if anyone can figure that out (along with a bunch of other questions), they are a lot smarter than I am!
