Financial/Admission Safety School:International Student wanting to study in the U.S.

If you do not mind cold winters, Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota, is both a financial safety (very inexpensive - annual tuition under $7000 per year) and an admissions safety (not too difficult to get into).

Bemidji is a beautiful area with many lakes. It is a vacation resort area for much of the year.

There are four schools at Bemidji State: The College of Arts and Letters, the College of Social and Natural Sciences, the College of Professional Studies, and the School of Integrative Studies. Many majors are offered. Classes are small, and students get a lot of individual attention.

You can avoid the snow during the coldest part of winter. A heated indoor walkway system provides access to almost every building on campus from the residence halls.

For internationals needing full rides this will be difficult to pay as well, but to others needing less aid is a great option :)
