I got deferred from IVY school.
One of the reason was I applied for a big FA as an international student.
To get better chance, I sent a letter saying I’ll give up the FA in regular admission. Do they accept it or disregard it ?

Don’t bother… Ivy’s are extremely well endowed ■■■■■■■■■ this sounds real perverted)

I was joking, the point is, they really don’t care about your financial needs. If they want you, they fulfill all your financial needs. I doubt writing that you don’t need Financial Aid will improve your chances, on the contrary, it may sound suspicious.

So, Another dude, just relax and pray to the good lord that you will be accepted later on…

Depends on which Ivy we are talking about. Harvard won’t care, Penn might.

On the other hand, the letter might undermine your credibility (and honesty) as an applicant…

I would advise you to not make any changes to your financial aid status. You could tell them about your achievements since the submission of your application ot about your interest in the college, but changing your FA status will not benifit you in any way.

There’s little use of a pile of acceptances but no place to go to.
