Financial Statement for International Students

Most of us probably are applying to schools that can give us either financial aid or merit scholarships. But I have seen some schools require a form that verifies whether or not I can pay for the school’s tuition. I was just wondering how you guys have filled out this form, did you put the actual amount of money that the college costs, or did you put less so that it shows you need the scholarship?

I applied to Harvard EA, and I didn’t apply for scholarship. However, I was required to fill out financial statement like you mentioned above. From what I recall, the financial statement for those who applied for scholarship was different from what I completed, and their forms didn’t ask ‘how much I could pay.’ They only asked the family income, family number and the like.
