<p>This happened to me. I knew my friends were kinda old school and grew up around old school people, but I never knew it went this far…</p>

<p>are they actually sexist and do things that indicate so or just say things?</p>
<p>I don’t think they could possibly be THAT sexist if you’ve just now found out about it. </p>
<p>If it isn’t totally offensive, don’t fret. If it is causing actual harm in some way, you can either try to show them the error of their ways or you can drop them. But they are your friends. They deserve some slack. </p>
<p>Also, there is a difference between cracking sexist jokes and being sexist. Sexist jokes are some of my favorites.</p>

<p>You can either suck it up and deal or you can not be friends. </p>
<p>The only thing that really matters is your own personal beliefs, although the beliefs of those around you can effect you more easily than you think. If you know you can stick to your morals, then the only problem will be how people perceive you by association.</p>
<p>Call them out on it, and ask them politely to stop.</p>
<p>If they still insist on making sexist remarks and/or acting sexist, then you’ll have to ask yourself how much their friendship means to you and decide whether or not you still want to associate with them.</p>
<p>Okay I didn’t ever think I would ever say this but HSL stop giving advice. I meant for this to be a discussion about what would YOU do! I already know what I’m going to do, even though I think it is wrong I am still going to hang with them…so what would YOU do?</p>
