Would it cause a problem with the boarding school admissions if my child finishes the second semester at a different school. Due to personal issues, we had to withdraw and had our child finish the semester at another school. Our child will be a repeat junior. Any suggestions on how to approach the admissions office?
You mean, withdraw now, and apply to BS next cycle? It is what it is, but you may have to explain the situation.
Keep in mind, 11th is very hard year to get admitted…there are only few spots anywhere (and sometimes none) for 11th.
Already admitted to BS for the fall. However, we had to transfer our child from the school he was attending to another school to finish the current school year. Email the BS now let them know or call and visit to explain the situation?
The advice I hear here about seeking help from admissions is that calling is the way to go. I can’t imagine that a voluntary transfer (your kid didn’t leave for disciplinary reasons) would matter to the BS. But that’s just my guess.
