Firefox/Virus

So I have this virus in my Temporary Internet Files. I’m not very tech savvy, so can anyone tell me how to delete the Temporary Internet Files? I don’t know how to. Thanks

Don’t you have any anti-virus software? If not just try AVG 'cause it’s free.

I actually have AVG
I delete the files accordingly, but it still keeps telling me that I have a virus

I don’t know. Restart->AVG->ad-aware/spybot->check again? Or you can go in manually and try to find it. Just look at all that junk on AVG to find it on your drive. Make sure you have the “show hidden files” option checked. Where are you flopsy?

Try this maybe it’ll do the trick. Google?

Good luck!

in firefox, goto tools, clear private data.

in IE, goto tools, internet options, and then under browsing history, click delete.

get a spyware scanner like AVG anti spyware or lavasoft ad-aware. update definitions and do a full scan.

update your antivirus definitions and do a full scan.

Use CCleaner. It’ll help clean up your registry and cookies/caches.

be careful with the registry cleaning though. it can seriously mess things up if critical things get deleted.

and uhh…stop looking at shady porn sites! then you’ll be virus free!

hmm i tried all of that
i’ll try that trendmicro thing

well, since i just got hired as the computer tech of the STC…i ought to know something about this…

but i dont

Hater=useless!

As useless as say… my being a soul-sucking virus.

find out where exactly the file is

[HijackThis Logfileauswertung](http://hijackthis.de/)

download the program (at the top right click direct download), save a log file and upload it to that above site to analyze it

any x’s you see are bad…i usually delete the stuff using hijack this but i WOULD check to make sure it hasnt lodged itself to a critical file…or that it wont affect anything else. if i’m unsure i just scan that specific folder with an antivirus

btw, ccleaner is relatively safe…it just deletes the registries that are no longer needed i.e when you uninstall programs. i always delete stuff without making a backup registry and never had problems
