I dont mean to sound petty when I say this, but I’m afraid my chances of getting into a good school are getting lower because my grades are starting to slip. My average is currently a 92 and I just got my first B. Many of my friends say they have averages of 94-95s and I go to a very very large and competitive school
How do you avoid this decline and rebound? Is a 92 average good enough for ivies or good public colleges because I dont have very good extracurriculars.
Edit: The class is foreign language, and most of my ELA related subjects are my lowest grades.
Your overall average for the year or your average for the quarter?
A single B is unlikely to be the determining factor for admissions.
There are many, many good colleges that take students with lots of Bs and even Cs.
I am majority B student so looking at this thread might make you feel better knowing what colleges people got into with GPAs that are not perfect http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/649604-the-i-got-in-without-a-3-7-gpa-club-p1.html
