First Concert - Best Concert - One you wish you'd seen

First concert - Black Sabbath
Best concert - Led Zeppelin (1977 over 4 hours!)
Wish I’d seen - Prince, George Michael

First - Boyz II Men (w high school GF, her choice)
Best - AC/DC
Wish - Led Zeppelin

I saw Abba Voyage in London last year. It’s absolutely incredible

You sound like me and my HS bf. He always wanted rock shows, and I wanted more pop stuff. Thankfully, we both wanted The Victory Tour tix, and he scored great ones!

@sly123 I am honored to have seen two on your wish list. The Bee Gees were great, but it was my first concert and I think I was 13 or 14 so I was easily impressed. But The Victory Tour was simply amazing.

Yes, he did play some Stray Cats among his new stuff. It was just he, a bassist and drummer. So much energy from all of them - fantastic entertainment.

(deleted – never tell your IT spouse about these things. They take all the fun out of it. He said it was a good phishing scheme to get the security questions for passwords. Probably not too dangerous since its not under our real names, but taking down my answer anyway.)

First - either Elvis in Las Vegas or Johnny Cash, I’m not sure
Best - Possibly The Rolling Stones, but I’m going with the Eagles and Linda Ronstadt.
Wish I’d seen - Adele, when she wasn’t as big as she is now, at a small venue in DC.

Funny this came up. H & I just had a similar conversation with friends last weekend. They go to many concerts across several genres. For me it’s:

First: The Doobie Brothers
Best: (We changed it to most memorable.) Back in the day – The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones. Lately – Ed Sheeran
Wish I’d seen: Queen

They’re amazing! My D introduced me to their music in 2005 I think.

They were one of my son’s favorite bands, we went to their concerts whenever they were in NYC when he was in high school which would have been 2007-2011 more or less.

First concert: Michael Jackson
Best concert: Peter Gabriel or David Byrne
Wish I’d seen: I’m not sure, I’ve seen many of my favorites

First concert: n/a
Best concert: n/a
Wish I’d seen: Simon & Garfunkel in Central Park

Ed Koch announcing them, really anchors the timeline.

( A singing-ants concert would have been my close second  )

I saw that one! But they were like ants, I was so far away! Still a good concert they were so much more together than they were separate.

First concert : James Taylor at Blossom
Best concert: Lincoln Center Jazz w our high school students
Wish I’d seen : S1 had tickets to Billy Joel and offered to take me, and I should have gone!!

Seeing REO Speedwagon in your high school gym is just cool. I’m jealous!

Wish I’d Seen: Simon & Garfunkel in Central Park. We were actually in NYC for that concert, but accidently had the incorrect start time. We started walking toward the venue as everyone else was leaving. AAUUGGHH! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

That seems unlikely. I’ve never seen that used as a security question.
