My daughter tried to transfer 2x’s. Both times we were given “hope” that she would get in then at the last possible minute was told waitlisted. She ultimately made the decision to give up on FIT and move on to another school. My son applied as a freshman and got an early email of acceptance and has already paid deposit for housing. I have lived through both scenarios. I feel if you are getting in you will know early. If you are holding out hope for the waitlist you might be very disappointed - speaking from experience. As a parent it is very heartbreaking to have a child waiting and waiting for a decision that FIT is sometimes very late to give. Good luck to all and I hope my experience helps others.

I got in FBM ! I believe FBM is not full I think they would have little space for other un-reviewed applicants so don’t be depressed. Good luck to you all

@annafarrell No I didn’t get housing mail but only invitation email for admitted students and actual acceptance packet. I think housing email has nothing to do with acceptance. @hausofemily Thank you! See you around campus !
Any status for those who applied for Advertising and Marketing Communications? I saw a few post about their acceptance but has there been a concentration of approval within that major?

@fitloveya if you don’t mind asking, what was your gpa for FBM? I’m out on spring break and won’t be back home till this Saturday so I am very nervous especially since I called FIT this morning and admissions said I had something sent out in the mail.
@divinecurse @Joeychiaramonte I applied for Advertising and Marketing Communications as well (transfer) and they keep telling me I will hear shortly/should hear this week. But I’m concerned because all my information was in before the priority deadline! I also haven’t seen too many AMC acceptances though? It’s so stressful
I called & they said my decision will be mailed shortly but like what is shortly? & how long will it take to mail? I hate how short they are with you.

@heathfeath77 they take people typically above 3.0 but it’s no definite number
@zaynmalikk same here, they said I should hear back either this week or next, perhaps they also seperate it by major since I applied for ad. & marketing and had it in before the deadline
like basically everyone i am waiting to hear back. i got everything in by the deadlines and was told from FIT that i would hear back by the end of march, we’re in the first week of april now ;/ im not loosing hope or anything i was just wondering if the people who did find out find out from the post or from an email via the school
