@nand99 i was kinda in the same situation where they didnt receive my college transcript and they emailed me and told me to send it asap last week. i’m still waiting for my letter but hopefully that situation is a sign!
hey guys I haven’t got any e-mail/letter from admission, but site map has changed to new version which i can search classes. Do you guys think this is a good sign?
Coco 1028 my daughter has had that up now for about a week. I don’t think they would allow you to see that if you weren’t in. That’s just the way I feel. That would be like a tease. WE still haven’t gtten anything in the mail and we were told it was sent out.
It is now April 1st and the rest of us should be hearing something within the next few days to a week.

@dizydee No problem! I would also suggest she start her essay as soon as possible, perhaps an English professor at her local CC could proofread it. Also start sending all transcripts no earlier than late July that way her transcripts are out of the way, at least that’s how I did it. The earlier the better! Especially when applying for the Spring semester, their deadlines are earlier than Fall semester.

I got my acceptance folder today! The only change I saw right before getting it was a change in my site map. I had a new option of searching up classes. Best of luck to everyone still waiting for theirs!
I got rejected. Man that sucks. My mailman brought the letter and when I opened the mail I saw a big envelope and thought I got it but it was for my parent. Then I saw FIT in a small one so I thought either i got rejected or waitlisted. I’m pretty sure it was my essay. Although I thought it was great and I had people check it. I guess it wasn’t great to them. I had a 2.8 GPA unweighted and 4.2 weighted. I’m a high school senior. It’s crazy I know a couple people who have got into FBM with GPA’s like that and a point lower. I cried a little, but I thought I would be more sad, since it is a dream school for me. I’m not as sad though. I’m already working on my career having my own clothing line and other endeavors. It’s just the feeling of rejection. I’m located in south Florida- Broward County , I will still be moving to New York for college. I’m going to try again next year since from the group chat it’s seems a lot of you are transfers maybe I have a better chance. Just need to work hard bringing that GPA up more, work on a greater essay and continue to work on my brands designs. To all those still waiting best of luck. Don’t take it bad. You still can apply again( I’ll be applying again.) To those that got in work your asses off and make the best of it, because you have the spot of someone who got rejected and would really want to go to FIT, so don’t joke around and take it lightly please.

Anyone knows the search class option is a good sign or is just a general update? Cause I can see the searching class option on the site map, but I don’t think I will get in. Really weak GPA.
My daughter just got her acceptance letter. For the record she was able to first see her COA then she was able to get onto the page that shows the classes. Then the Barnes and Noble page and students right and conduct pages popped up. I think they are signs that you will get in. I don’t think they would give you access to those pages if you weren’t in.
My son hasn’t gotten his letter yet is on the way but today he finally has access to the site map and can search through fall classes. Something he could not do before. Hopefully that is a good sign
@denverdylan My son also applied for film and media. Still waiting. Have you heard yet?
@younglordawn Admissions most likely took your unweighted GPA into consideration. And anyone who got into FIT with a 2.8 or slightly lower was an art major. FBM is highly competitive so a 3.0 and above is important to have. Don’t be sad at all. Those college courses and that college GPA will help a lot because they’ll know you’re ready. I’ve heard that applying for Spring isn’t as competitive but as I’ve said to another individual on this post, the earlier you apply the better. Plus when you go for Spring you’ll be there just in time to volunteer for Market Week and Fashion Week of course. Keep your head up!
My COA has been up for about 3 weeks now and i still haven’t received anything in the mail, I live in the corner of Arizona but i don’t think it would take this long for a letter to come in. Im getting super nervous !

I got waitlisted for the second time 
I had a 3.6 gpa and good essay and have interned at many places. I applied for the 2 year AMC program. It really sucks because the waitlist is always super long.
