I received my letter today for outstanding applicant ! I’m a high school student from Arizona and am going into fbm, I had a 3.6 gap unweighted and started a fashion club/organized a fashion show for breast cancer, so that’s a little summary of my essay basically. And my coa was available before I got my letter

Has anyone received their financial aid package?? I’d like to know what aid I’ll be getting before I send in my deposits!
@kattmichelle My Financial aid is still under review…I went ahead and sent my deposit since the deadline is May 1st and I definitely want to attend the school. Even if the package is not what I expect. I anticipate loans regardless.
My GPA was around 2.9 but still got accepted into the one year fbm course!
My intention was to apply for Spring 2018, but I found out that FBM One Year Program has a Open status as of right now at SUNY website where you apply. After reading some of these post about being waitlisted, it made me feel worry that I just apply recently for no reason. I spent 50 dollars knowing that I am so late. Unless, the one year program for transfer students doesn’t get a lot of application. They quickly in 3 days created myfit account for me, and 2 days later sent me my essay link. I keep checking if my transcript has arrived, only 1 so far. So everything that they have asked I already sent, including my essay. Do you think there’s still any chance? I assumed it should have a CLOSED status, so nobody can apply for fall 2017 semester. Just worried, and I know the deadline for the tuition deposit is due May 1st. I’m stressing!!!
@alicecr i applied around this time last yr for the amc evening/weekend program (regular was closed) but i was rejected after 4 weeks with a 3.0 gpa and a creative essay…
If you feel insecure about it you could always defer your app to spring 2018

@Larriealumni thank you! gives me a relief that at least they’re still reviewing and theres still a chance for attendance of fall 2017. I didn’t have a great GPA in high school nor my post-secondary college, but my 2nd college I raised it up to 3.6. I have 40+ credits so either way if i don’t get in I can still apply for the 1year program for spring 18’.
now i wonder if i do get accepted, and i pay the tuition deposit after may 1st, will it be a problem?

@alicecr it would be a problem if they run out of space, but if they accept you after May 1st, it’s probably because they had space so it wouldn’t be a problem.
I applied again this year with a 3.8, 16 credits, as a transfer for the fbm 2 yr aas and got accepted goodluck!!
@KouhaiChan I’m really late too, hahaha. . .I am technically a college sophomore/taking a gap year, but I got accepted into the one-year fashion design AAS program. For anyone who is still waiting, I hope you hear soon! I can’t imagine how anxious/excited you all are. And for anyone who did not accepted, please do not give up!
