Fl poly bait & Switch

I was one of the original Presidential Scholarship recipients. I was told that FL POLY was going to make it easy to stay on n campus. SO, Along with 2 other scholarships, I chose FL Poly as my college home. The first year was great, but the second year changed. FL POLY required anyone lviing on campus (pretty much most us the population) to buy a mandatory food meal plan -the most expensive one at $1600 per semester! They knew after a yeramen noodlesar no one could back out because no collehes will accept their transfer credit untik they are accredited. The food sucks. Who ever heard of substituting spaghetti noodles? Anyway, the school will hopefully be accredited soon and I can get the heck out of there!

No one should have to deal with a yeramen noodlesar…it’s the worse… >:)

UF’s meal plans range from $1,875 to $2,175. Poly doesn’t have many students, so they likely had to make the plan mandatory to make it feasible. UNF recently started to require that all Freshman live in a dorm, for one year, and sign up for a meal plan (even though most students come from the Jacksonville area).

EDIT: By the way, other than this meal plan situation, how has your experience been at FL Poly?

EDIT 2: Keep in mind that if you transfer, you’ll lose any freshman scholarships, and few schools hand out transfer scholarships.

Your experience is the exact reason that I strongly suggest to not attend a non accredited university. Non transferable credits, no chance for government financial aid. It definitely is risky. I also hope for your benefit the accreditation is forthcoming .
