This is what I wanted…very minimal variation. But $7/ sq ft so it’s not going to happen:)

I can see how the grey tones in the wood you chose would go with the grey in the house—good choice.
That maple looks like what we had in House1! Miss it.
I love maple floors but given your paint colors and finishes I agree that it isn’t the best choice for this house.
And the price of the good kind, and the patchiness of the other kind…
Cannot afford the perfectly clear so I have to pretend it doesn’t exist:)
I know! I don’t think Gaggenau steam ovens are for real - for that same reason. There is a lot of stuff that I treat like museum exhibits.
I like the one you chose a lot. The wide planks and soft tones are nice.
I really like the one you chose…and I’m not normally a fan of grayish tones. But this fits the rest of what you are putting in this house.
I had maple floors in my first house…clear nice maple…full first floor. Really wanted them again in this house, but they were just too costly
Ditto, @thumper1! Good maple is just too expensive. So it does not exist.
Just loaded some photos of the new clear glass going into the windows and doors. Night and day… world of difference. Also loaded some photos of front getting painted up
Oh WOW!!!
The new window glass is an amazing improvement. Glad you were able to do it without having to replace the windows!
Good to see the “before” and “after” side by side in the same doors! Amazing transformation.
Look at that view with the paneless windows!
So glad you made the decision to spend the time and $ to go that route. It will surely pay off.
I like the flooring you chose. The grey is very soft, and the wide planks are interesting. The maples just had too much variation.
OMG the windows!!! Worth every cent.
BTW, although I love chartreuse, if other people feel the way about it that I feel about orange, I’d say definitely go with the suggested blue!
Paint looks crisp and fresh. And, those windows! What a difference they make~ Fantastic.
Wow, @coralbrook, you’re doing an amazing job as always! Good choice to replace the glass so that the little partitions don’t break up the nice view! Everything looks so nice and new and clean!
It’s looking terrific!!
I just went through every MCM listing in our area, and not a single window with those ugly plastic bars in them. Excellent decision! There is a completely botched MCM remodel flip that just went on the market not too far from where our young friends live… if I find it again, I will post it. Sacrilege. Love what’s CB is doing.
