Flip #7 Mid Century Modern Mold

I have this is in my kitchen. The installer cut a separate piece the width of the dishwasher, and then used velcro on the back to hold it in place.

It is easily removed if needed, and looks way better than a piece of metal.

I’m going to run a piece of toe kick across the bottom of dishwasher that can be removed easily with the ikea clips

Marilyn, the everglades and composed colors are similar. But in this mock-up (I think that’s what it is) Composed looks robin’s egg blue to me, I suspect IRL it would not be as bright as it appears here.

In the link for the Sherwin-Williams Williams Oceanside color there is a yellow green I’m fascinated with as a complimentary color…Limon Fresca. I think I have to try that one just for fun

Had another buyer through today. This is a middle age Mom with H and a teenage son. They want to move to La Mesa because their son is going to the high school in that neighborhood. She loved the view and seemed to appreciate the style. Might bring H back to look at it.

Windows and views are spectacular! Wow.

I am a fan of the way the greens/chartreuses (limon fresco, go!) ground the house to the lawn and vegetation. Looking forward to seeing how this particular color works.

Let’s see if this link works…

Maybe prettier in person? Kind of dull here.

I tried that tool, too! The look is very different from the snap-your-colors mock-up in #662. Colors on-line are so different from real life, with lighting and surroundings impacting them. It’s hard to know what they’d actually look like.

I do like the green you posted, Marilyn. I think a softer green or blue might seem more welcoming than bolder colors to shoppers who are not MCM fans. But I haven’t posted any greens because a couple of cc’ers are anti-green. I like the idea of a green or blue or chartreuse that picks up colors in the vegetation/landscape/views.

On my laptop (where I wrote the previous post), the link included all the right colors on a mcm house but on my phone it didn’t.

I hope Adrift shows up. I like this mid-tone blue

Here’s limon fresco:

I really like it, but that’s no surprise. I’m the one in favor of chartreuse. The rest of you probably won’t.

Okay, although i am a certified hater of orange, I was actually thinking about suggesting coral earlier, but was too lazy to look for a good one.

I love the coral door. Much better than the blue. Perfect, for this house.

Not surprisingly, since I am a certified member of Team Chartreuse, I like Limon Fresca a lot.

I have to say that I really, really do not like those sputnik light fixtures. I don’t want my house to look like a cartoon Jetsons set or something. Surely there are other more elegant, airy modern alternatives.

Limon Fresca not my favorite.

Now THIS is cool. Yes, I know it is way too expensive!

There are a lot of very cool geometric LED and novelty chandeliers by Wade Logan and others, but mostly pricey.

How about these alternatives, or something like them?

It’s impossible to tell how any of these colors really look by seeing them on a monitor, laptop or phone screen, and passing them through a camera just compounds the problems. Lousy/non-calibrated color reproduction, emissive vs. reflective light source, natural vs led vs fluorescent lighting, camera post-processing, etc.

So arguing over slightly different shades of blue or green is fairly pointless, because literally everyone is seeing something different.

That said, the limon fresca just looks muddy and mustardy on my monitor, under the led lights in my office. Not a fan.

Agree…in addition, ANY paint color has a different look depending on the natural and artificial light in the space in which it’s being used.

That being said…I still like aqua blue or the coral the best of all the selections so far. But remember, I’m not a chartreuse or most other green fan…at all.

Agree that the Limon Fresco color is dull looking… keep looking!

I’d like to see a sample board against the dark grey siding. It could look quite different in real life.

I hadn’t noticed the photo with the closed entry gate and the coral sample board against the front door. Now I am loving the coral. It helps to be able to see most of the facade when looking at the sample color.

CB, Mister took a look at your photo of the cut branch and want to know if you want that entire tree down. He hates, hates, hates trees crapping on roofs. He says he has chainsaws…

Good call on getting the glass changed and cutting that branch off. Huuuuge views!
