Things are really coming together! I like the chandelier. In fact, I would love to put one like that in my dining room. Where did you get it?
Would a railing crafted out of the wood that matches the exterior gate make sense?
Why is it the hottest weekend of the year in mid October? It was unbearable in front of house and 2 guys were working on finishing the brick wall, hauling dirt from a neighbor who is redoing their yard. In return we hauled down leftover brick in the wheelbarrow. It must have been above 90 today. 80% of baseboard is installed, caulked and all downstairs painted in. The closets don’t have baseboard but we will just close the doors during photos and hope we can finish before the Broker Open House on Thursday.
Lots of details and an overwhelming amount of dust from sanding the floors is everywhere.
Today was first time I saw the floors done. For some reason the Matte finish still has sheen and doesn’t seem very matte. But the stain coloring is as good as it gets
So tired, will load photos in a couple of hours
PS. Blue door is to die for
Can’t wait to see the door!
The blue door looks fabulous. I love that blue, and think it will really pop with the grey and white exterior…and the green plants. I love it!
Door is perfect!

But then my back door is pretty close to that color, which matches my patio furniture and pool tile.
Do you have a really fun and unusual color on the front door??? I just love having fun with front door colors.
Yes, we have the same bright royal blue on our front door. It stands out on our street but in a good way…we have a lot of shade and the blue is striking against the brick. Door colors are bigger in the South, I think.
Love the front door!!
Exterior view from across the street - I like the tree on the left - any time or interest to trim/shape it up a bit before the pictures?
Dang, we trimmed that up 2 months ago. Its’s much better now:) we’ll try to hit it again before the pictures
The door looks great and what a difference overall compared to when you started!
WOW!!! The door is PERFECT. Looking awesome! Love the floors, too.
The large hanging light fixture in family room is Marisol 5 light purchased from Overstock.com and it was a good price.
Be warned though, the thing is very large. It is 36" wide and we discovered that it hangs 40" (close to 4 ft) from ceiling without any additional chain. In other words, just the fixture with those rods would hang pretty low in a standard 8’ ceiling. Might work over a dining room table, but very big.
The curb appeal is really looking good. Can’t wait to see some of the largest things that you are planting in front to the meter. And the rail.
I’m a little late to the party, but I’m dying to see the blue door! I’ve gone thru the thread to look for a link to the pictures but can’t find it! Can someone tell me where I can find the photos?

To see the entire progress you have to start at the bottom of all the photos
WOW! It’s beautiful…now I can follow along. Can’t wait to see the finished product. I’m sure you can’t either!
