I’d like to see several pieces of that tile together. When I looked at this one picture…it looked like a picture of a bull!
I love the gate shot! You will need to get another (when everything is finished) for the listing photos. The green gate, the stucco posts, the light fixtures that look like mission bells, heavenly!
Finally starting kitchen cabinets!!
No photos yet because we spent the afternoon making sure everything was level, going through cabinets and marking studs. The crown molding is beefy and thick so we wanted to measure perfectly so there are no gaps at top of cabinets.
Caught a lot of Ooops type of things today so time spent fixing those
And…Bathtub tile started!! I chose a 4x12 large white subway that has minimal trout lines for easier maintenance. Going to put in an arabesque tile as 12" horizontal band in the tile

Good news and bad news day
The tile finally arrived and, luckily, I love it. But it got lost in transit by Yellow Freight and it took me two days hounding everyone to get it.
Meanwhile, the tile guy has the entire bathtub done and it looks really cool. Well, it should look cool when it gets grouted. Bit I’m not going to select grout color until floor tile is set so I can be cohesive with one grout
Something really terrible happened but I’m still trying to grapple with how to handle it. It was not a workplace accident… And it did not involve poop. Noone got hurt. Just something scary, strange and just plain weird. Can’t reveal yet but its a doozy.

My first guess would be that you uncovered a skeleton but I really hope I’m wrong.
Or a family member of a previous owner was found asleep in his old room?
Dying of curiosity
I’ve loaded some photos of the bathtub surround tile installed and the floor tile to the Flickr group. Don’t shoot me… it is not as neutral as I should be for Flipping 101. But would invite any constructive criticism as you think about a family buyer of a vintage house.
